Visited the castle for Ferragosto, I had read the beautiful reviews but it was still a pleasant discovery both the visit itself and the air of experience that you can still breathe now, we were lucky enough to casually meet the Roero family who stay in the summer to the castle and I appreciated sharing this beauty with stories and curiosities in a simple and nice way, through many short 'homemade' videos by the count and his youngest daughter, they are to be watched on the mobile phone while making the visit in total autonomy . Part of the ground floor and the first floor can be visited. It is very pleasant to walk in the park. On the Facebook page of the castle you can see other videos on particular objects from the family collection, they are one minute videos, also suitable for children, I hope the series continues, I liked them a lot!

Very beautiful and naturally combined with nature. I was fascinated by the park with the little places to relax. It turned out that it only works on Saturdays and Sundays, so I didn't look at it from the inside, but it's also very impressive from the outside. Take your families, stay overnight or go on a picnic, the experience is worth it. If you have children there is a place with sheep and lambs and red and white fish in the pond of the park will be enchanted.

Admission € 7.50. two steps on foot to get to the entrance where a girl checks the ticket, makes you go around the walls telling you two things and then ... Go up to the castle and get by! The owner of the castle (they tell me as a COVID measure) has put QR codes around and free wifi. You look for these cards and you visit yourself ... So don't take the girl to make her stay out in the rain (in my case) and in the wind to tell you a few things and that's it! There are cameras inside but no one can know who you are because no one asks you for an identity document! They didn't check my greenpass for me. I have not seen sanitizing dispensers. I found dust in balls of yarn. Personal judgment, the voice of the owner (who with his little daughter - I would say 7.8 years - made the videos) was a bit unpleasant to me and then, for each QR code, activate the scan, go to the page, wait for it to load , zoom in on the view ... I didn't like it: you have a beautiful young girl out there who has to get her teeth and learn, picking up a couple of pennies and leaving her out there in the open ... Beautiful garden ... Even if not too well cared for ... Watch out for your ankles and don't get lost! Because, however small, you could find yourself in a private villa if you are not careful! Ultimately, just for the beauty of Monticello d'Alba alone, it may be worth going ... Even if 7.50 seems a bit high ... At the base of the climb, in Piazza Ponzio, you will find a restaurant bar. Check the opening hours if you are coming from far away. Afternoon 16-18.

Wonderful experience in this castle in the heart of the roero for seven centuries. It can be visited freely with your dog, the visit takes place in total freedom by framing the multiple QRcodes located in the various rooms of the castle (very nice and instructive videos made directly by the Count), the park that surrounds it is very large and it is possible to visit it excluding the whole of the castle. Definitely deserves your attention!
