★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool little castle. Were no tourists or locals around at all. But maybe because we visited on a weekday when its closed.. only open on weekends but still have a great view of the surrounding area.

To be more elaborate.
The outside is great but the tour itself shows three spaces (rooms) where the main two rooms are largely empty. The tour is mainly in Italian (though the tour guide did his best in the end)
I would be interested in how these castles were built and what daily life would look like (with some furniture) and a view of the kitchen and the personell quarters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice historical castle on top of a hill. It's surrounded by a typical old town with local amenities and coffee shops. You need a ticket to fully access the premises. However, you can still see the beautiful panorama on the barolo wineyards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing building, 13 century with later modifications. The time when the size of a castle and the hight of the tower showed power! Unfortunately only open in weekends. When open, visits are only possible in groups with an experienced archeologist. Reservations recommended in the high season. Quite a climb to the top. Parking better by the church a bit below. Lots of bars and wines tasting around the Castle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful medieval castle near Barolo. It can be visited only with guided tour, during the weekend once every 30 minutes.. the visits last about 45 minutes and is very interesting. Some guides takes tour in english too, but make sure to ask before starting!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful castle from the XIII century - unique in terms of its architecture in Italy. I recommend taking the 45min tour, which is in Italian, but if the group is small the guide will also make explainations in English. A leaflet in English and French is also available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had opportunity to visit this stunning place few weeks ago. Serralunga it is a small town but with breath taking views. If you enjoy medieval castles, panoramic views and good vine you definitely should visit this town.
