Oggi appare come una struttura costituita da un antico muro realizzato con blocchi calcarei, simile a un grosso muretto a secco, ma che nasconde un'origine antica legata a rituali celtici, individuabile soprattutto per la struttura perfettamente circolare. Nascosto sia a livello paesaggistico che a livello culturale. Vale la pena visitarlo anche solo per provare a immaginare cosa poteva essere migliaia di anni fa. Spero che in futuro verranno fatti studi più approfonditi. Enigmatic place. Probably a place of worship dating back to Celtic culture. T	Tommaso Mariotti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uno dei molti castellieri della bassa Umbria, questo di Monte Cerchio è molto ben conservato infatti presenta tutto il muro perimetrale costituito da pietre accatastate a secco ovviamente non ci sono più tracce delle strutture lignee come la palizzata che era posta al di sopra del muro stesso. L'utilizzo non si sa con certezza, forse villaggio o santuario o stalla oppure tutto insieme, era sicuramente un sito importante viste le sue dimensioni e la sua posizione. Forse una delle testimonianze più importanti della storia degli Umbri/Naharki nel nostro territorio.
