È visitabile solo con guida ma non è rimasto granché. Merita invece una menzione e una visita la bottega di fronte di Nicola Divietri, artista (scultore, pittore ed architetto) con opere moderne ed interessanti che ci ha affascinato con la sua arte, raccontandoci cenni storici della Venosa di epoca romana. On the other hand, the workshop opposite Nicola Divietri, an artist (sculptor, painter and architect) with modern and interesting works that fascinated us with his art, telling us historical hints of the Venosa of the Roman era, deserves a mention and a visit.

Difronte c'è un "negozietto" di un'artista con un sacco di rifacimenti/litografie di Orazio molto belle e propenso a raccontare un po' di storia. Closed house that cannot be visited inside, even if in reality it is only the place where it stood now there is a very beautiful spa built in Roman times. Valorizzate quello che avete, così come avete fatto con il museo voto 10! I give four stars for the house and what it represents. But I think it should be emphasized more. It is very hidden. I didn't see anything inside because it was closed. Enhance what you have, as you did with the 10 vote museum!

Dopo qualche minuto apprendiamo che arriva un gruppo con una guida e siamo invitati a lasciare il sito ...alcuni di noi non sono potuti entrare . Inaudito !!! Peccato per i turisti perché la ridente cittadina è veramente ricca di siti interessanti e ha un bellissimo museo tenuto benissimo . We headed towards the house of the illustrious poet and an unidentified gentleman approached us and opened the door for us. After a few minutes we learn that a group arrives with a guide and we are invited to leave the site ... some of us could not enter. Unheard of !!! Too bad for tourists because the charming town is really full of interesting sites and has a beautiful and well-kept museum.

Nonostante sia Venosa la città di Orazio ed essendoci segnaletiche su dove trovare la casa, purtroppo al nostro arrivo non è stato possibile visitarla se non solo dall'esterno. Non è una problematica del momento però, parlando con alcuni abitanti del posto abbiamo saputo che non c'è nessuno che si prende cura della casa o della gestione delle visite e accoglienza dei visitatori. Davvero un grandissimo peccato che fa però in questo caso perdere punti a Venosa. We were really very disappointed. Although Venosa is the city of Horace and there are signs on where to find the house, unfortunately, upon our arrival it was not possible to visit it except only from the outside. It is not a problem of the moment, however, speaking with some of the locals we learned that there is no one who takes care of the house or the management of visits and welcoming visitors. Really a great pity but in this case it does lose points in Venosa.
