★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique experience. The off-road ride is much fun, the view from the top is breath-taking, the guides are entertaining.
However, from the information of the lady at the cash-desk I had very little idea what to expect. I expected more stops throughout the quarry. In fact you get the ride up, one stop and the ride down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience with them. On 25 aug around 1:30 o'clock we(2 adults with 1 child) drove up to the mountain at the reception where 4×4 jeeps starts the journey. According to the website less than 20 people booking is not possible. As website says we went at the reception for the first available trip. One of the guys who operates the jeep behave badly with us and told us that the trip is not possible anymore on that day. Whereas the website says the trip runs until 5 o'clock. Thus we had more 3 hours to go. When I asked about the next trip he told me the next day. Too annoying. I was from the Netherlands to visit the place but now have this terrible experience of Carrara, Italy. PLEASE TREAT FOREIGNERS IN RIGHT WAY. TRY TO LEARN ABOUT PROVIDING SERVICES.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did a 40 minute tour inside the mountain and had a thorough explanation of the marble quarry business. The guide was humourous and knowledgeable. During a fourty minute span we got and insight into quarry technicalities and some history. The ten euro fee was definitely value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The highlight of our trip to this area! Good value, guides were professional and knowledgeable. The drive up there we wondered the whole time if we were going the wrong way but it was worth it. Definitely recommend!

They take you on a “jeep” for 5 minutes up to the top of the mountain, where the tour guides explain the process of extraction, logistics, and every single aspect of the marble.
Make sure you ask for Mattia to give you the tour, classic charismatic Italian.
