A hidden heaven in the trastevere area. So many kinds of trees and flowers. Well kept under the management of Sapienza university. Staff is very friendly and you will find every kind of plant and tree is very well explained. Do not miss this place and it is the perfect spot for a day away from the traffic and crowds.

It is a tribute to the historical gardens. It's a hidden gem. Some variety of trees are over 100 years old. I can only imagine fall and spring! I just experienced the gardens in the middle of summer after being closed due to Covid. Butterfly hut also there for the children and adults alike!

Very good place to rest after a long day. It's a pity some parts were closed (greenhouses) and also that you couldn't go up to Gianicolo directly as the gate was closed. Still pretty much worth the money and then some.

I had trouble finding the entrance so i ended up circling up the hill which was exhausting xD Garden it self is lovely, big park you can walk around and spend some quality time in. There's also a butterfly house, small but fun with really big kind of butterflies that would even land on you.

Visiting university botanical gardens is my guilty pleasure. Even though they lack all the fancy stuff that big commercial ones have they are still so beautiful and they have their own special vibe. Entrance is 4€ but it can get higher if there's event in the gardens. Student of nearby university have entrance free. My favourites parts of the garden were bamboo forest, palm tree avenue and collection of wine specimens from all over Italy. Only problem we had was getting inside, because Google maps will tell you about like 6 entrances but only the bottom one is functional currently so don't rush yourself up on the hill two of suggested ones are staff only and third one is closed. When you will be in Japanese part of the garden I highly recommend sitting down and enjoy the view. They also had nice clean toilets with lot of space and no charge for usage.

Reasonable entrance fee for a lovely garden. It is more freestyle than those in the UK but still nice to see. The dinosaur trail will keep children interested. Toilets clean and plentiful not just in one location, no food and drink available on site but water fountains are available.

A place of peace and tranquillity. Cost about Β£10 entrance. It is free for some students and there are discounts available. There are dinosaurs exhibits for children. A lovely place to unwind and relax.

Worth the entrance fee for anyone interested in enjoying a few hours of peace and quiet among the unique varieties of trees and plants both native to Italy and other posts of the world. Went here in winter and still found the different gardens to be beautiful and green.
