In tradition, the garden must be based on Japanese aesthetics and philosophical ideas, avoiding artificial ornaments and emphasizing natural views.
The contemplation of the natural as well as ephemeral beauty of nature contains one of the concepts that most deeply cross Japanese thought, that of the impermanence of existence.
