Vale la pena da visitare soprattutto per chi apprezza i luoghi che danno modo di fare un salto nel tempo ormai passato .Da visitare anche il piccolo museo molto interessante . A pretty village perched on a tuff mountain overlooking the valley of the Treja river. It is worth visiting especially for those who appreciate the places that give the opportunity to take a step back in time. The small and very interesting museum should also be visited.

Una volta arrivati, inerpicandovi per i piccoli sentieri pedonali, vi attendono angoli suggestivi, negozietti di arte povera, bancarelle e piccoli bistrot dove potete concedervi tutto il relax che desiderate! I	I viaggi di Daniela on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo la visita della valle del Treja abbiamo visitato questo antico borgo molto caratteristico, abbiamo trovato molti turisti di passaggio che passeggiavano tra i vicoli e sorseggiavano bevande e mangiavano gelati nei vari bar, mentre nella piazzetta principale si esibiva un artista di strada. Si vive un'atmosfera rilassata lontana dal caos delle grandi città.

Da qui si ramificano alcune viuzze che ti portano nel cuore segreto di Calcata fatto di numerose botteghe artigiane dentro anfratti rocciosi, atelier d’artista, gatti sonnolenti e fiori. Passeggiare accarezzando le mura del borgo significa ad un certo punto ritrovarsi in strettoie che si tuffano in viste panoramiche dove il bosco, la vallata verde e il fiume Treja scorrono verso l’infinito. The old village winds through alleys, climbs and stairways that lead you to the main square where there is a small church and several clubs. From here some narrow streets branch off that lead you to the secret heart of Calcata made up of numerous artisan shops in rocky ravines, artist's ateliers, sleepy cats and flowers. Strolling caressing the walls of the village means at a certain point finding yourself in bottlenecks that plunge into panoramic views where the forest, the green valley and the Treja river flow towards infinity.
A	Andrea F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un vecchio borgo abbandonato ripopolato da persone che si trasferiscono ogni anno da fuori e lo fanno rivivere . Il parcheggio è un po' lontano ma ampio e gratuito. Ho preso un aperitivo al primo bar con terrazza e già l'accoglienza mi è piaciuta. Il borgo è davvero carino, il panorama pure. Ci sono diversi locali ma non mi sono fermato a pranzo. Merita la visita An old abandoned village repopulated by people who move every year from outside and revive it. Parking is a bit far but large and free. I had an aperitif at the first terrace bar and I already liked the welcome. The village is really nice, the view as well. There are several places but I didn't stop for lunch. Worth the visit
G	Giada Gregori on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il borgo di calcata vecchia è bellissimo, è la seconda volta che vado in pochi mesi facendo il percorso di trekking che parte dalle cascate di monte gelato ed arriva fino al borgo. Il trekking dura circa 2 ore e mezza ed attraversa il parco Treja, è lungo ma non ha molto dislivello quindi abbastanza semplice. I panorami sono mozzafiato perché percorre tutto il fiume della cascata. Consiglio a chi ama immergersi nella natura. The village of calcata vecchia is beautiful, it is the second time I go in a few months doing the trekking route that starts from the Monte Gelato waterfalls and reaches the village. The trek lasts about 2 and a half hours and crosses the Treja park, it is long but it does not have much difference in altitude, therefore quite simple. The views are breathtaking as it runs along the entire river of the waterfall. I recommend to those who love to immerse themselves in nature.

Some restaurants around the area are quite high prices .. but It is a great meal that cannot be found in ordinary stores ... because they select this authentic - original - local. Some menus are original items that have been passed down for generations. You should go .... and try it. It's wonderful

All three are villages built in a defensive position on the top of a rocky hill, where they are not protected by the geological conformation are protected by walls and accessed through a gate. The most striking view is therefore from the outside. They are small villages and without stopping at the restaurants in a short time you can walk the few roads. Some manage to park along the provincial road but by continuing , following the signs you will arrive at a large parking lot that costs € 2 an hour, the path to reach the village is steep with some steps.
