Consiglio una bella passeggiata a questo paesino e andare a mangiare al Ristorante da Alessandro al Campanile....tutto bellissimo, buonissimo ed originale! Beautiful country! Inoltre si può visitare una sezione dedicata agli artisti contemporanei che hanno fatto dono al museo delle loro opere. Al primo piano si trova il Museo naturalistico del monte Soratte, con la sua ricca dotazione di animali impagliati erbari, fossili,etc. Al piano terra una pinacoteca disposta in 10 sale, con opere attribuite al Cavalier d'Arpino e di Giovanni Gaspare Lanfranco, allievo dei Carracci. È anche sede della pro loco. Beautiful building from 1598, designed by Vignola, houses two (small) museums. Furthermore, you can visit a section dedicated to contemporary artists who have donated their works to the museum. On the first floor is the Naturalistic Museum of Mount Soratte, with its rich supply of stuffed herbaceous animals, fossils, etc. On the ground floor there is a picture gallery arranged in 10 rooms, with works attributed to Cavalier d'Arpino and Giovanni Gaspare Lanfranco, a pupil of the Carraccis. It is also home to the local tourist board.

Il territorio, posto nell'area parco del Soratte, ha mille attrattive, gestite da cooperative ed associazioni di giovani. La pro loco è ottima per la promozione del territorio e dei prodotti tipici. Possiamo ricordare, il bunker del Soratte, le passeggiate del percorso vita, l'eremo di San Silvestro, i meri carsici e le chiese ed i luoghi naturalistici. Complimenti The country of sant'oreste is splendid. A small village on the slopes of Mount Soratte set in a 16th-century architecture designed by Vignola. The area, located in the park area of Soratte, has a thousand attractions, managed by cooperatives and youth associations. The pro loco is excellent for the promotion of the territory and typical products. We can remember, the bunker of Soratte, the walks of the life path, the hermitage of San Silvestro, the mere karsts and the churches and naturalistic places. Congratulations

l	lisa rita on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il palazzo teoricamente splendido versa in uno stato di conservazione pessimo, non ho potuto visitare la pinacoteca e il museo naturalistico ospitati al suo interno perché chiusi. The theoretically splendid building is in a very bad state of conservation, I could not visit the art gallery and the naturalistic museum housed inside it because they are closed.

Tra affreschi cinquecenteschi e giganteschi camini d'epoca è possibile riconoscere le tracce degli animali che abitano i boschi e distinguere le piante più caratteristiche dell'area, scoprire come si sono formate le grotte sotterranee del Soratte e immaginare, com'era la vita delle prime popolazioni che lo hanno abitato. Per la sua isolata fisionomia, è da sempre identificato come un'importantissima area di culto. Da visitare assolutamente! The Naturalistic Museum of Monte Soratte is housed in the wonderful Palazzo Caccia-Canali in the historic center of Sant'Oreste. Through a geological, anthropological, botanical and faunal itinerary, you will have the keys to understanding the Monte Soratte Nature Reserve. Among sixteenth-century frescoes and gigantic vintage fireplaces it is possible to recognize the traces of the animals that inhabit the woods and distinguish the most characteristic plants of the area, discover how the underground caves of Soratte were formed and imagine, how the life of the first populations who inhabited it. Due to its isolated appearance, it has always been identified as a very important area of worship. A must visit!
