V	Veronica Cipriani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È stato impegnativo, ma ne è valsa enormemente la pena. Il percorso è segnalato, scivoloso in alcuni punti soprattutto dopo le piogge. I torrenti si attraversano attraverso delle corde. La cascata lascia senza fiato, perché si scirge dopo un cavone erbose che la copre, quasi fiabesco! It was challenging, but it was hugely worth it. The route is signposted, slippery in some places, especially after the rains. The streams are crossed by ropes. The waterfall leaves you breathless, because it descends after a grassy cavone that covers it, almost fairytale!
M	Maximus Romanus Gaius on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si comincia col sentiero visitando i Cavoni , proseguendo sul sentiero molto ombreggiato prima di arrivare alle cascate c'è da fare un guado sul torrente (facilitato dalle corde) , e si arriva alle cascate del Picchio . We start with the path by visiting the Cavoni, continuing on the very shady path before reaching the waterfalls there is a ford on the stream (facilitated by the ropes), and you will arrive at the Picchio waterfalls.
A	Alessio DP on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cascata che si trova facendo un'escursione con bellissimi sentieri nella faggeta tra Nepi e Castel Sant'Elia. Non è difficile da trovare ed è comunque presente sempre molta gente. Non è l'unica cascata del posto, ma sicuramente la più suggestiva. Visitabile in ogni periodo dell'anno. Waterfall that is found while hiking with beautiful trails in the beech forest between Nepi and Castel Sant'Elia. It is not difficult to find and there are always a lot of people there. It is not the only waterfall in the place, but certainly the most suggestive. It can be visited at any time of the year.

L	Lorenzo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20.03.22 - Bello! Consigliatissimo. Il percorso parte da Nepi paese, appena fuori le mura della Rocca. Inizialmente si leggono le indicazioni per "Percorso Belvedere" e, dopo un vivaio presente sulla strada principale, ci sono le indicazioni per "I Cavoni" e "Percorso Ecologico". Si percorre la strada in discesa, superato il primo ponte si tiene la sinistra. Sempre dritto seguendo le indicazioni Bianco/Rosse CAI, al secondo ponticello con assi e corda, sinistra. Purtroppo alcuni vandali hanno rotto le indicazioni ma il percorso è pulito, battuto e ben indicato (segui sempre i segnalini). Il percorso è sostanzialmente semplice, non scrivo adatto a tutti poiché potrebbe essere frainteso. Presenta alcuni passaggi fangosi su cui ci sono assi di legno per evitare di sprofondare. 2/3 discese/salite con una pendenza non sottovalutabile e sabbiose perciò si può scivolare. Ci si mette circa due ore A/R con passo "normale". Il percorso è per lo più ombroso perciò percorribile in estate al fresco. Sono presenti vari spiazzi ove potersi fermare per pranzare al sacco o riposare (no panchine). No fontane. Nei pressi della cascata, come in foto, c'è una panca con sedute per pranzare vista cascata. La portata della cascata è sufficiente a garantire lo spettacolo. Seppur non parliamo di un salto d'acqua come Le Marmore (TR), il percorso e l'ambiente incontaminato ne vale la pena. 20.03.22 - Beautiful! Highly recommended. The route starts from Nepi village, just outside the fortress walls. Initially you read the signs for "Belvedere Path" and, after a nursery on the main road, there are signs for "I Cavoni" and "Ecological Path". Follow the road downhill, after the first bridge, keep to the left. Always straight following the CAI White / Red signs, at the second bridge with axes and rope, left. Unfortunately some vandals have broken the signs but the path is clean, beaten and well indicated (always follow the signs). The path is basically simple, I don't write suitable for everyone as it could be misunderstood. It has some muddy passages on which there are wooden planks to avoid sinking. 2/3 descents / climbs with a not to be underestimated and sandy slope so you can slide. It takes about two hours round trip with a "normal" pace. The route is mostly shady and therefore accessible in the cool summer. There are various open spaces where you can stop for a packed lunch or rest (no benches). No fountains. Near the waterfall, as in the photo, there is a bench with seats for lunch with a view of the waterfall. The flow of the waterfall is sufficient to guarantee the spectacle. Although we are not talking about a water jump like Le Marmore (TR), the path and the pristine environment are worth it.
F	Fabio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Semplice percorso ma anche divertente con qualche passaggio GUADO del torrente. Partendo dalla cascata cavaterra sono circa 8 km andata e ritorno ben segnalato. In inverno meglio coprirsi perché è quasi tutto in ombra. Le racchette sono utili perché il terreno in alcuni tratti è fangoso Simple path but also fun with some wading passages of the stream. Starting from the Cavaterra waterfall, it is about 8 km there and back, well signposted. In winter it is better to cover up because almost everything is in the shade. Snowshoes are useful because the ground is muddy in some places
