★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disabled visitors suffer a lot in Pompeii, because the road isn’t flat, and extremely difficult to roll on.
Almost all the crossing of side streets have the bigger rocky stones in the middle as well, and here it is tricky for wheelchair users to cross as it is very uneven.
The sidewalk sometimes is accessible by means of iron ramps deformed and consumed, and it is almost impossible to use them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imperium Romanum! It’s definitely worth visiting. The area is pretty big. You should plan at least three hours to see everything and enjoy the Ancient Pompeii!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Use this entrance as there wasnt a queue at all.
As you exit the station [Stazione Ferrovie dello stato Pompei] people will try to tell you they want to give you a free guide. Ignore them.
As you walk towards the entrance there will also be people on the road lying to you that this is not an entrance. If you stop to listen to them they will start by trying to sell you an audio guide then continue to sell you a "fast pass". Just ignore them and keep walking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don t take the audio guide. Cost us 15€ but inside you now have the QR codes for the description of the places. The descriptions from the audio guide were also very succinct.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The queue moved quickly, I would not bother buying tickets in advance. The free map was helpful but the app (MyPompeii) was even better and provided more info.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pompeii is one of the places I think you must visit. I have been twice, once in December and once in June and I highly suggest a December trip if you can make it. In June it is hot and very crowded, in December we felt like we had the entire city to ourselves. You need about 4 to 6 ours to really explorer this city, depending on how fast you walk. Also, before you get in beware of all the tour guide traps, don’t listen to them, just keep walking. When you arrive by train taxi’s will try to give you a ride to the city (it’s a 5 minute walk to the gate) if you accept they will take you to the far gate which can be good because you can walk through the city and exit by the train station, up to you.
