It was interesting if you read the facts and famous people who were there as Albert Einstein. If you like museums is recommended to you, otherwise better stay away.

Old building of Bologna University which is well worth the short visit. Entry is cheap (€3 per person). Don’t accidentally miss the Stabat Mater room!

The place is beautiful. However, we wanted to enter the library to sit and read and a very rude lady did not allow us to. We explained that we were not going to walk around as tourists but sit and read and asked for an explanation for why we couldn't do that and she refused to explain anything and told us to leave.

A must while in Bologna. But clearly whoever is in charge of choosing modern chairs, lamps and light sources is immune to the beauty of his surroundings and chose the ugliest possible. See photos.

The oldest university in the world, absolutely stunning details. I definitely recommend the anatomy room, that leaves you wondering how such intricate, detailed pieces of art can be carved out of Wood. It is the worlds first anatomy study rooms, where the first medical students would study and dicest corpses.

Your visit to the palazzo housing the Biblioteca Comunale dell'Archiginnasio will be on your mind for a long time. As soon as you enter, you're greeted with a great looking - and very symmetrical courtyard. Walking up and down hallways and stairways, you see murals, coats of arms and frescoes. The details are stunning. This was a highlight of my visit to Bologna.

Wow! Almost missed this amazing library! While you cannot tour the library itself there is still lots to see. The Teatro Anatomico and the Stabat Mater Hall are both part of the library building but for 3 euros they are accessible to tourists and boy is it worth it!
