Oggi adibito a cappella di San Barnaba, patrono di Breme. It is a gem of early Christian Romanesque architecture. With an octagonal plan, it is located behind the parish church. Today it is used as a chapel of St. Barnabas, patron saint of Breme.
S	Stefano Masnaghetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il battistero di Breme è il secondo più antico della Lomellina, dopo quello di San Giovanni ad Fontes di Lomello. Fu costruito, infatti, fra i Secoli VII e IX; e nonostante il suo interno sia stato pesantemente rimaneggiato in senso neoclassico alla fine dell'Ottocento, l'esterno è tuttora uno stupendo esempio di forme preromaniche/paleocristiane. Le mura composite, formate da mattoni, ciottoli di fiume e intonaco a tenere insieme il tutto, la forma poligonale appena sbozzata, la piccola abside che gli si affianca sono tutti particolari che donano all'edificio un fascino raro e arcaico. The baptistery of Breme is the second oldest in Lomellina, after that of San Giovanni ad Fontes di Lomello. In fact, it was built between the VII and IX centuries; and although its interior has been heavily remodeled in the neoclassical sense at the end of the nineteenth century, the exterior is still a wonderful example of pre-Romanesque / early Christian forms. The composite walls, made of bricks, river pebbles and plaster to hold everything together, the barely sketched polygonal shape, the small apse that stands next to it are all details that give the building a rare and archaic charm.
