Visita guidata alla cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta. Si trova a ridosso del burrone "la gravina", spicca nella sua maestosita in piazza Benedetto XIII.
Oltre ad essere oggi il principale luogo di culto cattolico di Gravina in Puglia, questa costruzione appartenente all'età normanna è un vero e proprio capolavoro, tanto da essere stata consacrata nel 1993 da papa Giovanni Paolo II come basilica minore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cattedrale bella ma non particolare come altre città nella provincia di Bari. La piazza dove si trova è piena di auto e rovina tutta la visuale. Interno semplice ,carino ma mi sarei aspettato di più. Si trova però in posizione strategica
Beautiful cathedral but not as particular as other cities in the province of Bari. The square where it is located is full of cars and spoils the whole view. Simple interior, nice but I would have expected more. However, it is located in a strategic position

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Très belle cathédrale sur les hauteurs du ravin. On peut la voir de loin et surtout de l’autre côté du ravin. Une immense place permet de la longer de tout son long même si le parvis est plus petit. L’intérieur vaut le détour et présente de beaux ornements et chapelles, un plafond somptueux. Une visite à ne pas manquer.
Very beautiful cathedral on the heights of the ravine. It can be seen from afar and especially from the other side of the ravine. A huge square allows you to walk along its entire length even if the square is smaller. The interior is worth a visit and has beautiful ornaments and chapels, a sumptuous ceiling. Do not miss this visit.
