β β β β β A beautiful church. For a little price you can enter the cathedral, the tower with its bells and the museum. It is worth a visit. The drawings under the ceiling are impressive and the windows are very colourful.
The staff is very nice and speaks English very well.
We liked it and it was worth the money and the hike up the streets.

β β β β β Although the cathedral is under restoration as of march 2018, having a look inside is still worth it. You can buy a combined ticket for the upper part of the cathedral (from where you have a great view over Agrigento) and the nearby episcopal museum. The church has an interesting history as it has a Norman and a baroque part. The highlight is the beautifully painted ceiling dating from the 15th century.

β β β β β While much of the cathedral is off limits due to repairs and structural issues, the apse is quite beautiful and the nave ceiling remarkable.

β β β β β Staff was excellent to talk with. Did not have a chance to visit the museum or other parts of cathedral but main part. The interior was awesome. Get your souvenir coin as soon as possible because the front is all locked up when they close down. Do not go out the parking lot way. The roads get really narrow. We had to back up. Not fun.
Go back way you came.

β β β β β Beautiful cathedral, really worth a visit. Wooden ceiling is quite unique, and if you take some stairs you can get a closer look.
There are two panaroma points, one in the Bell Tower, the other in the Clock Tower. Both offer a spectacular panorama all the way to Etna and the sea.
