★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα από τα ωραιότερα κτίρια του Μιλάνου, κτισμένο στις αρχές του 20ου αιώνα. Εντυπωσιακή αρχιτεκτονική και επιβλητικό μέγεθος. Η κεντρική πόρτα είναι από σφυρήλατο σίδερο και διακοσμημένη αριστερά και δεξιά με δωρικούς κίονες και πάνω τέσσερις Καρυάτιδες.
One of the most beautiful buildings in Milan, built in the early 20th century. Impressive architecture and imposing size. The main door is made of wrought iron and decorated left and right with Doric columns and four Caryatids on top.

Il Palazzo della Banca d'Italia in stile eclettico sorge nel centro cittadino su un'area a forma romboidale di circa cinquemila metri quadrati. Edificato tra il 1907 e il 1912, su progetto di Luigi Broggi e Cesare Nava, per volere dell'allora Presidente della Banca d'Italia, Tommaso Bertarelli, comprende un piano sotterraneo con impianti elettrici e di riscaldamento, un semi-sotterraneo per la custodia dei valori, un piano terreno rialzato e un primo piano adibito ad uffici, un secondo piano dove si trova la Grande Sala del Consiglio e il Salone delle Assemblee, e infine un terzo piano originariamente destinato alle abitazioni del personale. L'architettura dell'edificio richiama lo stile greco-romano. È un edificio monumentale: portone d'ingresso tra due gigantesche colonne doriche, sormonto da quattro cariatidi in marmo di Carrara; ampia gradinata di marmo e cancellata in ferro, bronzo e marmi colorati.
