We stuck with comfort food on a cold winter day: the minestrone soup, salmon carpaccio, marguerita pizza, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti with truffle cream and sausage, sautéed spinach. These dishes are all pretty hard to mess up but the food was delicious nonetheless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Originally this was going to be a 4 rating but then having to wait 23 minutes between being given the bill and promised a card machine to having to stand up and chase for a card machine this is now a 3 star. First non 5 star restaurant review in Italy for me. Ordered the seasonal seafood and yellow tomato pasta, however it was quite bland and what's worse - the pasta is overcooked and all stuck together at the bottom. Yes the dish looked pretty, but you can't eat aesthetics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite place in Florence :) always very nice staff (vi adoro Sara e Zakaria), food of really high quality (as always in Italy) and awesome wine. When you even count Santa Croce in front of your eyes there's not better place :)

The food and service were outstanding!
The highlight of the menu was their famous Florentine Steak! Cooked to perfection with a crispy crust outside and medium rare soft pink in the middle... Lightly seasoned with salt and pepper...tender and butter soft...it was pure carne heaven!
My wife's seafood pasta was loaded with a generous serving of clams, mussels, squid, and giant prawns. Delish.
Our friends ordered the off the menu zuppa (soup) which was very filling along with a nice Buffalo Mozzarella topped pizza.
I highly recommend Baldovino and look forward to our next visit!
