J	John Brawley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are in Bologna for any length of time to get a lunch or dinner, you have to come to this restaurant. They have a wonderful wine selection and a fantastic choice of antipasti, primi, and secondi. We enjoyed the yellowtail tartare, the lasagne, the tortellini in parmesan cream, the veal, and the beef steak with red berry sauce, all with a reasonably priced sangiovese. The lasagne is probably the best lasagne my wife and I have ever had. It was also giant; we could have shared it and left out the tortellini. The tortellini were simple but perfect. The secondi dishes were everything that you could ask for, savory, creamy, sweet, salty. Unfortunately, I only took time to grab a quick shot of the steak with berry sauce. If you dont mind a bit less flexibility, I would recommend the tasting menu.

And Antica Osteria Le Mura is no exception to the rule. And if it is, then the exception is that it's just that - exceptional. The osteria not only has fair and reasonable prices for its dishes, both appetizers and entrees alike, but it is also the best place in the city to get pretty much anything you can think of to eat. They have particularly unique recipes ranging from lasagna to octopus; everything you order is delicious, mouthwatering and beyond flavorful. The intimate setting is ideal for taking a date. While families do bring children as well, the osteria is perfect for any occasion. Staff is professional and courteous and the best part of it all is the wine. Do not go home without ordering one of their remarkable bottles of red wine. I cannot recommend this place enough. After having eaten at over a dozen different restaurants, trattorias and osterias while in Bologna for several months, this was hands down the best place I ate and drank. As soon as I'm back in the city I plan on stopping in again! Can't wait!

Was that veal ? I’m wondering…. The only taste was the molten cheese on top of it….. Soup was good though. Not very enthusiastic with the 8 cl wine glasses for 8 Euros either.
