★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was here for a destination wedding. Very nice location, peaceful, with fully modern and well appointed rooms. Nice large shower stall, comfortable beds. The restaurant has a nice selection of snacks and sandwiches.
One niggle: the washroom door is transparent, with an opaque white sheet for privacy. You're +1 will be able to see you when you're on the thunder throne. A bit weird.
This is a destination to drive to, as there is only a single bus passing through once per day (6:52am!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped for a visit to the abbey and had lunch. Absolutely fantastic cooking. Both our meals were delicious. Wish we'd booked our stay here too as small complex looked well run, modern rooms and if breakfast as good as their lunches there would be no complaints.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We drove to the Abbey San Gangalno and stumbled upon the restaurant attached to the Agriturismo. We didn’t have a reservation and they were full, but they asked us (in Italian) to wait 30 mins. Even with the language barrier, it all worked out. We were sat at a table in 35 mins, and had a lovely meal!
The wild meat cold cuts (duck, wild boar, venison) was amazing. Truly a surprise!!!
The spinach & potato gnocchi (gnocchetti) was out of this world amazing. Literally little pillows of heaven! The ossubucco (grandmother Lisa style) was delicious. Pappardelle Cinghiale and the Tagliolini porcini were both great. We really enjoyed our meal and their hospitality in accommodating us without a reservation. Truly grateful!
