★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I lived for 3 years at the Convent of the Assumption, here, in the late 60s, as a volunteer helping in the shanty town of 600+ dwellings built against the aqueduct. This area was later cleared to make the park you see today. The aqueduct is not Roman - it is from the Renaissance era, built partially from some of the stones plundered from derelict aqueducts nearby (Marcia, Claudio) on the orders of the Pope. Felice was his first name, which is where the aqueduct got its name. It fed the famous Moses fountain in central Rome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is one of my favourites in Rome. Pack a picnic lunch, some water and catch the train to Subagusta and then walk for 10 minutes to the park. It's a step back in time and an opportunity to marvel at the ingenuity of the Romans to supply a city with clean and abundant water. Much more enjoyable than the typical tourist hot spots.
