I did this tour alongside my husband, sister-in-law, & mother-in-law and we all had a fantastic time! Matteo is extremely knowledgeable and charismatic. I highly recommend this tour if you'd like to have a wonderful time up in the mountains, looking for truffles, enjoying a wonderfully tasting meal paired with a delicious selection of wine, and gaining appreciation about all you've just learned. Francesca and her family were extremely polite and welcoming during our time there & I will forever treasure that moment spent with them. The food was beyond amazing! Oh, I was even celebrated during our lunch as it was my birthday! Shout-out to Choco, who guided us to the truffles! He is extremely cute-I can't get over him! It was just an overall fabulous tour! During our visit we were also taken to Fattoria San Michele a Torri where we had a wine tour, tasting and learned about their extra virgin olive oil, which we purchased (it's a must!). The ladies who guided us were great and are also very knowledgeable & pleasant. The experiences we gained make for a lifetime of memories from this tour. Thank you to all! I am extremely grateful. <3

A great day featuring wine tasting and touring at small, medium, and large wineries. All informative, each a little different, wines excellent. As well as our tour guide, Vittorio. He was very knowledgeable and knew when to let the experience speak for itself. We enjoyed Chianti Classico, Riserva, and Supertuscan wines. All were accompanied by a taste of Tuscany- meats, cheeses, bruschetta and home-made olive oils. Our favorite was the small winery. An intimate tour with the farmer himself. Lunch was served with all of the above along with pizza, pasta, and a delicious dessert, in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking the vineyard. A memory we'll never forget. A huge selling point of this particular tour was the door o door pick up and drop off to where we were staying. We could sit back, enjoy the scenery, and not worry about directions or driving after too much wine. Vittorio was open to stopping along the way for photo opportunities amidst the beautiful Tuscan countryside and small quaint villages. This 'Italy and Wine' private tour with Vittorio was the highlight of our trip to Italy! Simply Fantastico!

When our original truffle hunt tour with another company was cancelled I searched the internet and found the Italy and Wine website. After checking the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor, we booked the tour and are so glad we did. This tour was the highlight of this trip to Italy. We were picked up in Firenze by Vittorio and brought to the village of San Minato for the truffle hunt. When we arrived at the estate, we met Francesca, the young lady who conducted the hunt and her two dogs Ciocco and Nana. They are a breed called Lagotto Romagnolo. Ciocco was the veteran truffle hunting dog and Nana was in training. We hiked through the woods accompanied by Vittorio, Francesca and the dogs and found a handful of truffles. We learned about the the breed of dog, how they are trained, how truffles grow, the effects of the weather and the regulations involved. After the hunt, we returned to the estate and had an amazing pranzo that of course included truffles. We especially liked that the hunt and lunch only included us and another couple. My husband and I prefer small group tours and seek them out whenever we travel. After lunch, we went to Fattoria San Michele a Torri in Sandicci for a tasting of Chianti wines with our host Gianna. Gianna gave us a tour of the facility and provided information about the land and types of grapes grown on the vineyard. Vittorio is a sommelier and provided great insight into the wine and the proper tasting techniques. We also tasted some super tuscans and learned about the history of how that label was created. My husband and I were so glad that the other company cancelled their tour and we got to experience this special day with Vittorio, Francesca and Gianna (and Ciocco and Nana too).

We cannot recommend this tour enough! Pros: small group (6), comfortable/nice van, beautiful landscape during the drive, two great wineries (plus olive oil!), visit to San Gimignano- such a neat place, great guide (Matteo), yummy food, got to drink whites & reds- best of both worlds! Cons: none unless you consider we wanted it to last longer! We felt like we did a lot in the time we had- really liked the two small wineries. Wish we could have had more time in San Gimignano but that’s not a complaint by any means. As with many tours, the guide can make or break it. We were a little nervous about having a sommelier, but Matteo made learning about wine fun and simple! Very interesting guy- speaks 5 languages and tells some great stories and information about the regions we covered. Very non-pretentious, good sense of humor and above all professional. He really wanted to ensure all in the group enjoyed their day. No pressure to buy wine, either (but we all did- and olive oil!). All of the food we were served at the winery was delicious! Highly recommend this tour.

This was a last minute booking for me. I opted for the Chianti & truffle tour. There was a common meeting place in Florence before my small group was taken by air-conditioned van one hour out of Florence. Our guide was Hilary Grass. The guide kept the conversation moving with interesting information about truffles and wine of Chianti. First stop was a private estate where we donned boots for our walk in the woods truffle hunting. The dog Aris and her owner Francesca, made short order of finding the first truffle. After the hunt it was back to the estates' dining room for a lunch prepared with some white truffles. The meal was memorable. After lunch it was off to the Chianti tour. Our guide Hilary Grass explained the basics of what makes Chianti Classico and the Reserve special. After the tutorial it was off to the aging cellar. This was a we'll run tour full of good food, wine and information. My only negative comment is the booking was not %100 complete online, %30 was payable through PayPal and the balance was asked for in cash. The cash demand required seeking out an ATM instead of having the option to pay online at booking time.

We did the super Tuscan wine tour and visited 3 wineries in the Chianti region. Our guide Matteo was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. We had learned so much about the region and wine tasting in general it was well worth the price and I would highly recommend to anyone considering booking this tour.

What a wonderful experience. If we could give them 20 stars, we would. My husband and I loved every second of the 7 hour tour. Thank you Lorenzo and your team for the beautiful time in the Chianti world. We loved all of the wineries, and also loved the biological educational part. We now get to enjoy the MOST delicious wines back home in South Dakota. Can't wait to be back. All of our best, Joseph and Eliza Raney

Wine tastings and vineyard tours don’t get any better than this. Matteo was absolutely fabulous! He is just as entertaining as he is informative, and that’s saying something. It was really fun to learn about Italian wine from both a sommelier and the owners of the vineyards. This is everything you could want in an Italian wine tour. The vineyards are gorgeous and unique. In addition to the various wines tasted, we also got to taste olive oil that had only been bottled the week before! We decided to book this wine tour pretty last minute, the night before, and we couldn’t be happier that we did.
