★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After waiting for 45 minutes we asked what is with the food. The told us they just started cooking. Not even apetizers were served.
The food was served all at once after an hour’s wait. Food quality not bad, but the wait was ridiculous especially that we were the only table ordering food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff largely disinterested. Took forever to get 2 pasta dishes. But still EUR 16 for a small plate of spaghetti. Did not let us sit outside although many tables free all night. The owners kids were shouting in the back room too. In the end the food was actually good with correctly cooked pasta but everything else sucked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can tell it's a family owned little place. They don't call themselves Trattoria or anything but in my opinion they get very close to this.
We had wonderful food, typical Sicilian dishes, suitable for vegetarians. The very friendly service has to be mentioned.
I didn't like the interior that much, a little to simple and sober. There's opportunity there... But besides that it's a great place.

Up from 4 to 5 stars. This restaurant became our second best choice here in Scalea, we come here often now. They redid the interior and the place looks great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly! Menu is via QR code and we were helped with that. I was disappointed that they had no chicken, since I have been eating a lot of seafood in this seaside town. BUT the antipasti della casa was plentiful and delectable as was the antipasti di mare. The dolci were delightful. It is still my favorite place to dine in Scalea.

Food although was delicious but we ended up at the pizza place straight after.
There were people around but they also waited a long time
