Luoghi misteriosi, ricchi di storia a partire dalle pareti di tufo vecchie di centinaia di anni per passare poi al bunker utilizzato per salvare la popolazione durante il secondo conflitto mondiale. Il butto dove venivano gettati gli scarti antichi oggi rivalutati in autentici pezzi da museo, il cunicolo etrusco che quando ci entri è da far venire i brividi, fino ad arrivare al luogo di culto, questa stanza fredda, dalle pareti che ancora oggi trasudano Acqua con l'altare scavato all'interno... Non ho parole per descrivere la potenza di questo luogo. La guida gentilissima, preparata e disponibile ci ha fatto sentire accolti all'interno del luogo, incluso ovviamente di museo templare bellissimo e ricco di storia, con tante teche piene di oggetti, spade, gingilli. Per gli appassionati una vera chicca da non perdere. Viterbo Sotterranea è una di quelle perle nascoste che andrebbero valorizzate ancora di più, un viaggio che rifarei volentieri dall'inizio alla fine.. Unique journey into the HIDDEN history of Viterbo. Mysterious places, rich in history starting from the hundreds of years old tuff walls to then move on to the bunker used to save the population during the Second World War. The dump where ancient scraps were thrown, today revalued into authentic museum pieces, the Etruscan tunnel that gives you shivers when you enter, up to the place of worship, this cold room, with walls that still today exude water with the altar carved inside ... I have no words to describe the power of this place. The very kind, prepared and helpful guide made us feel welcomed inside the place, obviously including a beautiful Templar museum full of history, with many display cases full of objects, swords, trinkets. For fans, a real gem not to be missed. Viterbo Underground is one of those hidden pearls that should be valued even more, a journey that I would gladly do again from start to finish ..

Ma x quando riguarda i sotterranei una delusione unica. 10euro sono troppi. Abbiamo visto tre o quattro stanze in tutto. ho visitato Orvieto, Perugia, è Napoli sotterannea mi aspettavo tutt altro. E il sito non spiega ciò che si vedrà. Cioè quasi niente The only compliments to the archeology guide, a very prepared person who made us relive history. As if we lived in those places. But x when it concerns the underground a unique disappointment. 10euro is too much. We saw three or four rooms in all. I visited Orvieto, Perugia, and Naples underground I expected something else. And the site doesn't explain what you will see. That is almost nothing

Pensavamo ad un percorso più lungo e con più cose da vedere... invece sotto il museo dei templari c'erano 3 stanze...bello e suggestivo l'altare dei templari... brava la signora, che tra l'altro è un cavaliere templare , a farci appassionare alla storia ma nulla di più... il percorso non vale il prezzo pagato di 10€ ... I give 2 stars to encourage ... We were thinking of a longer path and with more things to see ... instead under the museum of the Templars there were 3 rooms ... beautiful and evocative the altar of the Templars ... good lady, who among other things is a Templar knight, to make us passionate about history but nothing more ... the path is not worth the price paid of 10 € ...

Davvero interessante la Viterbo Sotterranea, luoghi storici sotterranei, un museo templare ricco di reperti ed oggetti, curiosità che mi sono rimaste ben impresse in testa. La guida alla zona sotterranea principale è veramente ben organizzata, gli spazi sono ampi e per nulla angusti, la guida chiara e concisa è aperta a domande ed al dialogo, nonostante comunque sia ben esaustiva nella spiegazione. Il museo con tante teche, spade, sigilli vale la pena essere visitato! Tutto lo staff della Viterbo Sotterranea inoltre è davvero cordiale e spigliato, simpatici ma anche professionali! Divulgano indicazioni, luoghi da visitare per tutta Viterbo ed anche posti tipici dove mangiare, se viene loro chiesto. Buonissimi i liquori tipici tra l'altro, consiglio il nocino ed il nettare di more selvatiche. Esplorare Viterbo anche con i Tour in esterna poi ha tutto un altro piacere. Un'esperienza insomma sicuramente da fare in compagnia se si è appassionati della storia antica e delle curiosità ad essa legata! A journey to discover a world that is not expected .. The underground Viterbo is really interesting, underground historical places, a Templar museum full of finds and objects, curiosities that have remained well impressed in my head. The guide to the main underground area is really well organized, the spaces are large and not cramped at all, the clear and concise guide is open to questions and dialogue, although in any case it is very exhaustive in the explanation. The museum with many display cases, swords, seals is worth a visit! Furthermore, all the staff of the Viterbo Underground are really friendly and easy-going, nice but also professional! They divulge directions, places to visit throughout Viterbo and even typical places to eat, if asked. Among other things, the typical liqueurs are very good, I recommend the nocino and the nectar of wild blackberries. Exploring Viterbo also with external tours then has a whole other pleasure. In short, an experience certainly to do in company if you are passionate about ancient history and the curiosities related to it!

There's also a free tasting of local products at the end of the tour: the products are obviously sold in their shop but none of the shop assistants pushes you to buy. A different, lovely experience.
