Strangest hotel I've ever been to. At first I was surprised at how few people were there. Then after a few hours I became surprised that anyone was there at all. Ghost town with odd, rude staff. Food was ok by British standards. Terrible by Italian standards.

No draining, rain water everyware, basins of it. Leaking windows, overflying airplanes, loud bar 24/7. Plastic table with two plastic chairs for four people. Garbage everywhere. Staff does not care about any complaints. A very kind man showed ur around though. In gum boots, lucky him.

It’s ok for a holiday village.. unfortunately though it’s worth noting that it’s directly under and right by Catania airport so there’s lots of aircraft noise. The chalets could do with a β€œspruce up” although practical they do look a little tired, I had to ask for hand towels, I also asked if I could have an extra bath towel so that I could go for a dip in the sea and the answer was an immediate No. The restaurant & pizzeria didn’t do pizzas on the night that I was there and only do pizzas I believe Friday and Saturdays.. one of the waiters was extremely rude when I said that I wanted a pizza, he just said that I should’ve asked if they did pizzas before he’d opened my beer, call me silly but I’ve never ever walked into a pizzeria and asked if they did pizzas!! ? Ok apart from a couple of gripes it looked like the place was fun and the beach with its little bar was popular. For a beach place on a budget it was ok

This resort is basically split in two. A handful of rooms which you see on all the online marketing photos and the two-person matchbox-sized bungalows which dominate about half the resort. I'm unfortunately writing about the later. They literally have a bed in it with just enough space to squeeze around. Keep your bags clean because you'll have to open them on your bed. There's no room elsewhere. The shower either has boiling hot water or mere droplets of cold water. In a week we saw half a dozen toilets block up and water come back up as the piping is so bad, you're not supposed to flush toilet paper. The aircon on every other bungalow is covered in layers of rust and not recommended for human use. Breakfast food is recycled into lunch and dinner meals which whilst smart makes all the meals taste much the same. Their pasta was disappointing considering you're in Sicily and their meat dishes are horrible. Pizza was the only decent dish and you could only order it twice a week when the pizza master was in. The beach is waist high for roughly half a football pitch so don't expect to go swimming straight away. You'll have to skip the security rope and the lifeguard who really does nothing else will whistle for you to come back despite standing waist, knee or even ankle deep in water depending on the sand dunes. The sand beach is soft and nice underfoot and the water is mostly clean with some really nice sunrises. The worst part of the entire stay however is that YOU'RE LITERALLY UNDER AN AIRPORT! We counted on our first day and had 10 planes take off and land in a 20 minute period. This tempo kept up throughout our stay. They do slow down from around 10-11pm until the morning and only fly every 20-30 minutes but can and will easily wake up light sleepers. Though the fun really starts when the beach clubs located right next to your rooms kick off high base music until 3-4am on the most random days. Don't expect much rest here. The one star is for the poor cleaners who really do assist and the kitchen staff who try their hardest. The front desk people are a joke for the most part. Don't bother asking for an extra towel to use, the cheapskates need to save on detergent apparently, even if your room towel is ripped to shreds from years of use. Go straight to the cleaners and you may have more luck. If you haven't booked yet, avoid this place like the plague! If you have, there's a €1 bus to Catania. Supermarket food is much cheaper and you can demand a fridge for any room as well as plastic table and chairs to be brought to you. It'll make your stay at least a little less painful that way. Good luck!

Very bad beach: very loud pop music, life guards doing chores, poor safety, old equipment and more expensive than much better beaches around! Ironically, despite the name almost no one speaks English. Stay away!

This place is good for staying overnight as it is close to the airport. It is not the typical hotel, has "bungalows" but it's more like separated small units. You have to lock the door when you leave and when you are inside the unit. One of the small windows did not close properly. Has a lot of cats, was confusing getting here because there is a lot of road construction and signs are not clearly marked once you make a U turn it is the very next right turn which we missed and it took us 5 mins to turn around. The beach is close by, though they are getting ready for summer time. We were told that a lot of families stay here during summer. The unit we stayed in had a double and a single bed, and private bath (I was skeptical about using the shower, so I did not). The breakfast was ok - your normal caffeine options, bread, butter and jam, cornettos and juices. Would I stay here again - only if I am headed to the airport the very next morning.
