FAI is an Italian foundation founded in 1975 that preserves gifted villas, castles, historic private buildings around Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic Robert Wilson exhibition in striking villa. Lovely gardens and permanent art exhibitions. Beautiful part of Varese. A must for a sunny afternoon and nice views over the city centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a wonderful and peaceful place to walk, to think, to chill. Each season is has own colors and palette of feelings. At the entrance you will disappear in a huge mirror-bowl. Very positive experience. Worth and must to visit if you love such places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location for interesting collection. We came in for the Turrel, we stayed for the mix of old and new. The big neo classical rooms contrast with the contemporary collection and the African and latin American icons.
English is limited, keep your phone close to check the digital tour. The villa had a beautiful park overlooking Varese.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice art collection. Mostly US artists, monochrome and neon heavy but beautiful stuff. Worth a stop for sure!!
