L' edificio risale al secolo XVI e la facciata è stata progettata nel 1725 dall'architetto varesino Giovanni Antonio Speroni. La pianta dell'edificio è semplice ad unica navata e al suo interno si ammirano pregevoli affreschi in particolare quelli inerenti alla volta del presbiterio (1653) opera di Melchiorre Gherardini allievo del Cerano. Nella parte centrale una tela raffigurante l'Immacolata Concezione (1619 circa) attribuita a Giulio Cesare Procaccini.
Set in the Pozzovaghetto district, the church and the bell tower stand out between the buildings in the center. The building dates back to the 16th century and the facade was designed in 1725 by the Varese architect Giovanni Antonio Speroni. The plan of the building is simple with a single nave and inside you can admire valuable frescoes, in particular those relating to the vault of the presbytery (1653) by Melchiorre Gherardini, pupil of Cerano. In the central part a canvas depicting the Immaculate Conception (about 1619) attributed to Giulio Cesare Procaccini.
