★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an old papal villa, built in 1490 and abandoned a century later owing to malaria. It contains a chapel which once had a fresco by Raphael.
The complex is now the administrative headquarters of a neighbouring hospital, run by the Knights of Malta. There is a guided tour once a month, which you have to pre-book. The people in charge of the Catacombs of Generosa have been arranging this in recent years.
