All'esterno, se non fosse per il cancello meraviglioso, nessuno passando dalla strada dove si può accedere si accorgerebbe della sua presenza. A maggio, prima del 15, quando sono entrata nel lungo viale ho notato l'erba che cresceva anche dove non avrebbe dovuto crescere, dando un aspetto trasandato ad una villa che merita di essere visitata. Erba tagliata e qualche pianta nel giardino avrebbe potuto essere un valore aggiunto, mentre salivo percorrendo il viale in salita, già mi era passata la voglia di visitarla. Pensavo :-Se fuori è così, forse non vale la pena vedere altro - Ormai ero lì, ho portato pazienza..... E sono finalmente entrata in questo edificio che mi ha sorpreso, bello, con arredi interessanti e tutto riportato alla sua originale bellezza, immagino quando da lì si poteva vedere il mare. Il mio consiglio, 1)un bel cartone pubblicitario davanti al cancello, 2)manutenzione ordinaria del giardino 3)manutenzione ordinaria del mobilio Nulla da eccepire sulla guida che ci ha fatto da Cicerone The place is lovely, all as the review says by those who know more than me. On the outside, if it weren't for the wonderful gate, nobody passing by the road where you can access would notice his presence. In May, before the 15th, when I entered the long avenue, I noticed the grass growing even where it should not have grown, giving a scruffy look to a villa that deserves to be visited. Cut grass and some plants in the garden could have been an added value, while I was going up the avenue uphill, the desire to visit it had already passed. I thought: -If it's like that outside, maybe it's not worth seeing anything else - By now I was there, I brought patience ..... And I finally entered this building that surprised me, beautiful, with interesting furnishings and all brought back to its original beauty, I imagine when from there you could see the sea. My advice, 1) a nice advertising cardboard in front of the gate, 2) ordinary garden maintenance 3) ordinary maintenance of the furniture Nothing to complain about the guide that made us from Cicero
F	FranK Manga on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Villa "De Pasquale" si annuncia con un grande cancello in stile liberty stilizzato in una ragnatela di ferro battuto, tessuta da due grandi ragni, simbolo dell'operosità della famiglia De Pasquale. La casa padronale sorge nell'abitato di Contesse e come nelle antiche ville rinascimentali presenta un lungo viale d'entrata ed una scalinata che rialza la via d'accesso, rispetto al piano stradale. Pregevoli opere decorative ornano sia gli interni che gli esterni dell'abitazione: Telamoni sorreggono l'ingresso principale, leoni all'inizio delle balaustre, putti e fregi sulle porte e le finestre, fontana in marmo, pozzo poligonale, ed edicola votiva in bassorilievo all'esterno, preziosissimo ciborio rinascimentale all'interno e quadri e affreschi di M. Amoroso sulle pareti e sui soffitti. Restaurata e aperta al pubblico nel 2016/2017 è un pezzo della Messina industriale e alto-borghese dei primi del 1900; ed inoltre resta come testimonianza dello stretto legame tra casa e fabbrica: da notare infatti la fabbrica d'essenze , ormai dismessa, a pochi metri dalla villa che va ad occupare una serie di edifici all'interno del complesso ed un ampia costruzione a forma di cuba prima adibita a canile. The Villa "De Pasquale" announces itself with a large liberty-style gate stylized in a wrought iron spider web, woven from two large spiders, symbol of the industriousness of the De Pasquale family. The main house is located in the town of Contesse and as in the ancient Renaissance villas it has a long entrance path and a staircase that raises the access road, compared to the street level. Valuable decorative works adorn both the interior and exterior of the house: Telamons support the main entrance, lions at the beginning of the balustrades, cherubs and friezes on the doors and windows, marble fountain, polygonal well, and votive shrine in bas-relief at the outside, a very precious Renaissance ciborium inside and paintings and frescoes by M. Amoroso on the walls and ceilings. Restored and open to the public in 2016/2017, it is a piece of industrial and upper middle class Messina from the early 1900s; and it also remains as evidence of the close link between home and factory: in fact, note the essence factory, now abandoned, a few meters from the villa which occupies a series of buildings within the complex and a large building in the shape of Cuba first used as a kennel.

La Villa su due piani è interessante specialmente se vi accompagna il personale che racconta le vicende della ricca famiglia a cui apparteneva (oggi bene della Regione è gestito dal Museo Regionale di Messina) Ingresso gratuito. Seen on 11/07/18. Oppressed by wild construction, this beautiful Art Nouveau villa is located. The park was not cared for. The two-storey Villa is especially interesting if you are accompanied by the staff who tell the story of the rich family to which it belonged (today a property of the Region is managed by the Regional Museum of Messina) Free admission.
