Fa parte della rete dei cosiddetti Forti Umbertini, una fortificazione permanente a più postazioni realizzata nell'ultimo decennio del secolo XIX sulle due sponde dello Stretto. Da qualche anno è utilizzato in modo continuo come Museo Storico. Può essere visitato a prezzi modici ogni seconda domenica del mese, a partire dall'autunno, o in altre date per gruppi di almeno dieci persone. All'interno una grande collezione di armi, divise, oggetti della Prima e Seconda Guerra Mondiale, alcune ambientazioni e una estesa documentazione sul forte stesso e su tutti i forti dell'epoca. Historic place in a magnificent location with more than strategic views from the south to the city. It is part of the network of the so-called Umbertini Forts, a permanent multi-station fortification built in the last decade of the 19th century on both sides of the Strait. For some years it has been used continuously as a Historical Museum. It can be visited at reasonable prices every second Sunday of the month, starting in the fall, or in other dates for groups of at least ten people. Inside there is a large collection of weapons, uniforms, objects from the First and Second World Wars, some settings and extensive documentation on the fort itself and on all the forts of the time.

Interessante l'esposizione museale sempre in continuo aggiornamento. Vale la visita. A place with a crazy view. A piece of history preserved thanks to the care and dedication of a few enthusiasts. The museum exhibition is always interesting and constantly updated. Worth the visit.

Vi avviso che la sera li fa un freddo micidiale e che se andate sprovvisti dell'equipaggiamento necessario potreste ritrovarvi con un febbrone ! Beautiful location that offers a breathtaking view over the Messina Strait, I visited it several times for various events and every time it surprises me! I warn you that in the evening it is a terrible cold and that if you go without the necessary equipment you may find yourself with a fever!

Il personale preposto alle spiegazioni degli avvenimenti e degli oggetti esposti è molto preparato. Consiglio di visitarlo ne vale la pena. Lugo of historical interest to visit. The interior layout of the rooms is taken care of down to the smallest detail, relics and remnants kept in excellent condition. The staff responsible for explaining the events and objects on display is very prepared. I recommend to visit it it's worth it.

Un tuffo nel passato per grandi e piccini. Decisamente consigliato Splendid fort well kept thanks to the efforts of the Association that manages it and takes care of the maintenance and opening of the annexed museum, with dozens of splendid finds well explained by the members themselves. A blast from the past for young and old. Definitely recommended
