One of the most suggestive streets in the center of Rome is via Margutta (in the IV Campo Marzio district). It is known as the street of artists because many of the sculptors, antique dealers, painters, actors, directors, etc., have had studios, exhibition / sale rooms or houses here, among them the famous couple Giulietta Masina (actress) and Federico Fellini (director), who lived in a period building at number 110 and others such as Anna Magnani, Giorgio de Chirico, etc. It is no coincidence that in the Via there is a beautiful and particular fountain (built in 1927) which is part of those dedicated to the districts, is very characteristic and rich in tools and objects dear to artists (hence the name of Fontana delle Arti or artists). Every year the famous "100 Painters in Via Margutta" takes place in the Via, which makes it a picturesque outdoor art gallery. NOTE The Way became famous all over the world thanks to the film Roman holidays of 1953 that saw it starring in various scenes with the actors Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, another peculiarity of this film is that it made the world known VESPA, a recent drama on RAI (Enrico Piaggio - An Italian dream of 2019) highlighted how it was not a "walk".

Parallel to the much busier via del Babbuino, this quiet street hosts the event every year: "Exhibition of the 100 painters" who, not surprisingly, exhibit their works here. Street of artists, famous or not, which has hosted great personalities from the world of art and entertainment.
