It was our favorite thing during our week in Venice! We had a blast, and would do this again next time when we are again in Venice! Highly highly recommend! It’s more than 5 stars. Please don't go to gondola's where you only site in the city centre or big Castello because that's a really bad tourist attraction. Go to Emiliano, you will have the best experience of your staying in Venice!

K	Kent West on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome experience! And at a very reasonable price! Nicola was an awesome teacher and explained a lot of the history of the traditional boats of Venice. Getting to row on the Grand Canal was an amazing experience. He explains everything so well and teaches you the technique that makes it much easier than traditional rowing is. I would highly recommend this company because not only are they teaching people to row around this amazing city, they are also buying, preserving and restoring the traditional boats that are rapidly disappearing from Venice. So not only do you get an amazing experience, but you get to help younger guys out that are trying to save the old ways of Venice for future generations to enjoy.

Get a real glimpse of Venetian life (as it was before motorboats) and support an organization that fights to preserve a unique and endangered heritage. While gondolas are famous around the world, it turns out they were only one type of boat used in Venice among dozens. Many types have been replaced by engine-powered boats. You'll learn all about this and much more in your first lesson with Venice on Board. As others have mentioned, this is not a very demanding physical activity either! The particular rowing techniques Venetians developed were designed to maximize efficiency and the experience of rowing is nothing like a typical rowing boat. You'll glide blissfully and quietly through the canals, far from the overcrowded areas.

He first taught us about some of the history of Venetian boats rowing, then taught us how to row. This was a unique experience for a reasonable price. Plus, you get to support a group that is working to maintain the tradition of boating in Venice.

Learn about the gondola history and navigate yourself on the canals. French, English...they do their best to pass their know how. Great experience!!!
