Total scam of a company! Sent my watch with a misaligned GMT. They wanted me to pay to fix it..After being on their back they finally accords the watch, the watch came back the second time, misaligned and scratches on the case.. What a nightmare...Used up Kickstarter money to fund other projects. Bunch of liars! Good luck with any warranty and repairs.. 5 year warranty they offer is definitely a scam.. You get why you pay for... Stay away!

Not a company you want to be involved with. When they first kicked off on Kickstarter, I was very excited. Since then, it has gradually turned into a nightmare and it is a common story for so many backers. Let’s start with the delays. 1) Shipping was supposed to start February 2019. It is now 5/31/19 and there are so few watches delivered they wont even share with everyone how many has sent, but we know it is not a majority...by far. So many of us has yet to even receive a shipping notice and it is probably because they have no clue how to manage it. 2) Movement change. The watch was initially offered with a ETA 2893 Top Grade GMT movement. It downgraded (without alerting buyers) to ETA 2893 “Top-Grade regulated”. Not sure what “top-grade regulated” means especially since Top Grade also consists of different upgraded components. The movement then went to ETA 2893 standard. After missing their initial shipping goal of 2/2019 they sent us an update two months later (4/10/19) noting they are switching the movement to a Sellita movement and tried to sell us on some BS story it costs more. We all know Sellita is cheaper than the ETA. They cant even lie correctly. 3) Oyster bracelet. They offered all backers an oyster bracelet because backers of their Kickstarter caught them offering online buyers a cheaper deal than the Kickstarter pricing and to put out the fire threw this bone. Two months after missing their initial ship date, they announce that they are reneging on the oyster bracelet and essentially tells every sucks to be you. They should have continued to find another vendor to make a quality product as it was part of the promised purchase package. Free or not, it was part of the package backers bought into and paid for. 4) Coupons. To calm the fire down a poorly negotiated deal was made with a minority vote and Meccaniche Veneziane offered a 30% coupon and a 100euros coupon. What was then offered officially by Meccaniche Veneziane was a 30% coupon which had to be used first before they give you a $100 euro deal. On top of that, they jacked the price of the jubilee bracelet from 65euros to 130euros just to make sure none of us could use that coupon to get a free bracelet. 5) Lack of Quality. They changed the style of the hands to a split style to better re-use parts from other watch projects rather than delivering what was promised early on. The GMT hand changed from an equilateral triangle to an isosceles triangle...again, not what was promised. They changed the pip design as well from a nice quality style to one that i find on watches from a vending machine quality. The cream (they call it crema) dial is actually silvery from all the pictures buyers are posting. Meccaniche Veneziane is apparently color blind as well since white/cream is no where the same as silvery. 6) Alignment (or lack of): I could have put this under lack of quality, but this is clearly a different subject now. There is zero alignment with the GMT hand and the hour hand. From all the pictures of buyers I have seen they are all misaligned. I may have seen one aligned, but out of 100s delivered (the Morelli brothers claimed) I haven’t seen enough to count on one hand to give the Morelli’s a slap of reality. The Morelli brothers then tried to tell us there is no defect in the mis-aligned hands and it was designed with the ability to micro adjust....excuse me, but what is micro adjust? Do the Morelli brothers even know how a GMT operate? They even offered a video to show us how to “micro-adjust” the GMT.....this was over a month ago of missed due date of supposed video. Good to say the Morelli’s and their Meccaniche Veneziane brand is clueless in the watch industry and doesn’t even know how their product works. Meccaniche Veneziane will lie all day long to make a buck. Product is nothing but a bucket of lies and broken promises. I thought long and hard about putting this review up, but if I were a potential customer, I would want to read about this, so consider it a public service. Just like most of the other reviewers here, I can only give one star as a minimum. Don't take my word for it, just do yourself a favor before you purchase a piece and look at the Kickstarter comments for the Nereide GMT. There is also a dedicated FB group to unhappy customers of theirs. They stated that the misaligned GMT hand on most of their watches was a "shipping" issue. Have you ever... They will refuse to refund your money and they will delete any negative comments from wherever they can. They even reviewed themselves as 5 stars right here on Google in order to bring up the average rating. It's because of them that I will never back a Kickstarter project again.

Great company. I own two nereide models and must say they have an incredible look and feel. unfortunately i have destroyed one of them. Dropt it, broke the rotor, scratched the bezel,and detached the strap. i sent them an email for help. A few emails later My watch was on its way to italy.They fixt my watch with no Hassle. they even were so kind to replace my case free of charge. in my opinion they sell high quality watches for a for a reasonable price with excellent after sales service. seldom have i encountered a company that prioritises a happy customer like meccaniche veneziane. in short i can definitely recommend the brand and i am curious to see what they will release in the future. i will be keeping an eye on them. keep up the good work! Own the Nereide GMT and it was the worst buying experience ever. No communication, significant changes, didn't deliver everything promised, cheap bracelets, and total lack of business integrity. Secretly offer better deals to withdrawn backers via e-mails betraying loyal backers and never answer questions. So many issues and examples to list. Unfortunately, not a trustworthy brand.

I have received my Nereide GMT today. I can understand some people dispointed by the delay and some changes during the Kickstarter but it was a Kickstarter launch... so some problems can happen when you bet on a watch that is completly created from scratch. The real problem, in my opinion was the lack of communication... Let's talk about the watch now : the overall quality is simply stunning, the assembly is perfect and the strap made of the best leather. We have all received a coupon code and an apologize message for delay so it's ok for me. I've got some watchs right now but Meccaniche Veneziane have won a new customer. Good Work Guys ;)

Cheats, liars, crooks. 200 people in facebook group of disappointed customers is not something you should treat lightly. Completely screwed up KS campaign built on lies, patched with lies, held together with disinformation and vague promises. two months after "we are shipping update" there are hundreds of people without the watch, and the ones that got delivered are misaligned, missing accessories and their movements are broken. Owners making 5 star review are just a nice reminder of the company ethics. Never more.

Watches from Venezianico have a low/mid level price, but a very high quality look and feel. I myself have ordered the Nereide and the Rendetore, both beautiful watches that are regarding the design and materials not far short of the more expensive brands. It's clear that every euro in this design was very well spent. In addition, they have great customer service and they react very helpful. Customer service as it should be. Didn't experience any problems myself but in case of complaints I definitely believe they will solve it or help you out. Recommended!
