★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich persönlich finde den Vellauer Felsenweg noch schöner, als den knapp oberhalb liegenden "Meraner Höhenweg" (der hat aber auch verdiente 5 Sterne). Dieser ist etwas anspruchsvoller, man muss Schwindelfrei sein und darf keine Höhenangst haben. Ein wenig Erfahrung, wie man sich im Gebirge bewegt, ist von Vorteil.
Ich liebe es einfach, auf der einen Seite die steile Felswand, auf der anderen der nicht minder steile Abgrund, dazwischen der Weg und ich.
 Personally, I think the Vellauer Felsenweg is even more beautiful than the "Meraner Höhenweg" just above (but it also has deserved 5 stars). This is a little more demanding, you have to be free from giddiness and not be afraid of heights. A little experience in moving in the mountains is an advantage.
I just love it, on one side the steep rock face, on the other the no less steep abyss, in between the path and me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Am 10.10.2021 phantastisches Wetter, glasklare Sicht über das Etschtal und in den Vinschgau! Genuß pur und unvergesslich! Brickelndes Erlebnis auf dem aufgesetzten Felsenweg und dem darüber liegenden Hans Frieden Felsenweg für absolut schwindelfreie Wanderer!! Am letzten Sonntag fand hier die reinste Völkerwanderung statt!!
On 10.10.2021 fantastic weather, crystal clear view over the Adige Valley and the Vinschgau! Pure enjoyment and unforgettable! A tingling experience on the attached rock path and the Hans Frieden rock path above it for hikers absolutely free from giddiness! The purest migration of peoples took place here on the last Sunday!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöner Wanderweg von der Bergstation der Mut-Seilbahn nach Vellau.
**Nur für trittfeste Wanderer**
Gut gesichert mit Ketten, tolle Ausblicke und vergleichsweise wenig Verkehr, im Gegensatz zum Hans-Frieden-Weg. Am Ende kurz vor Vellau gibt es einen Stand mit frischen Saftschorlen und oft auch Kuchen.
Nice hiking trail from the mountain station of the Mut cable car to Vellau.
** Only for sure-footed hikers **
Well secured with chains, great views and comparatively little traffic, in contrast to the Hans-Frieden-Weg. At the end just before Vellau there is a stand with fresh juice spritzers and often cakes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr schöner Wanderweg mit spannenden Elementen. Empfehlung: per Rundweg von der Talstation Korblift (ca. 10km). 3 Almbetriebe unterwegs! Aber: nur für Schwindelfreie!
Very nice hiking trail with exciting elements. Recommendation: take the circular route from the base station of the Korblift (approx. 10km). 3 alpine farms on the way! But: only for those with a head for heights!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind letzte Woche diesen herrlichen Weg gegangen. Ich bin eher die vorsichtige Wanderin und hatte Respekt vor dem Felsenweg. Allerdings ist er überhaupt nicht gefährlich. An keiner Stelle hatte ich Bedenken . Hochgefahren sind wir mit der Korbbahn , welches ja auch schon ein besonderes Erlebnis ist .
We walked this beautiful path last week. I'm more of a cautious hiker and had respect for the rocky path. However, it is not dangerous at all. At no point did I have concerns. We went up with the basket lift, which is a special experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöner Wanderweg welcher nur mit guten Schuhwerk und ohne Höhenangst zu bewältigen ist. Wer ihn Bergauf steigt, kann auch Stöcke dabei haben, geht aber für geübte auch ohne. Man hat einen super Ausblick. Der Weg ist gut mit Hund zu bewältigen, man sollte ihn aber im oberen Teil sehr eng führen.
Beautiful hiking trail which can only be mastered with good shoes and without fear of heights. Those who climb uphill can also have sticks with them, but for those who are more experienced they can walk without them. You have a great view. The path is easy to manage with a dog, but it should be kept very narrow in the upper part.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wunderschöner Felsenweg vom Ort Vellau zur Hochmuth Bahn. Die Bahn kann man dann nach unten nehmen und ist im Dorf Tirol. Oder man gehe den Meraner Höhenweg und dann zur Leiter Alm und steigt wieder ab bzw. nimmt dem Korblift nach unten . 8€ für eine einfache Fahrt.
Der Weg sollte nicht bei Regen begangen werden, da einige Stellen ausgesetzt und daher gefährlich sind.
Der Weg ist auch nur für schwindelfreie.
Er dauert 1:20 min von Vellau nach Hochmuth.
Beautiful rock path from Vellau to the Hochmuth Bahn. You can then take the train down and you are in Dorf Tirol. Or you can walk the Meraner Höhenweg and then to the Leiter Alm and descend again or take the basket lift down. € 8 for a one-way trip.
The path should not be used when it is raining, as some parts are exposed and therefore dangerous.
The path is only for those with a head for heights.
It takes 1:20 minutes from Vellau to Hochmuth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Assolutamente un sentiero da fare. Panorami mozzafiato e soste con cibi squisiti. Molto utili i bastoncini da trekking. Si sale in funivia o seggiovia da Velloi o da Tirolo. Se si ha la Guest card si ottiene uno sconto del 10%. Da non perdere
Absolutely a path to do. Breathtaking views and stops with exquisite food. Trekking poles are very useful. You go up by cable car or chairlift from Velloi or Tirolo. If you have a Guest card you get a 10% discount. Not to be missed
