★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La possibilità di avere una buona veduta sul paese di Civitella e soprattutto sulla sua fortezza ha fatto sì che il colle San Nicola fosse coinvolto in tutti gli assedi di Civitella che si sono succeduti nei secoli, fino all'ultimo del 1860-1861, quando i Piemontesi vi schierarono il XXI e XXVII battaglione bersaglieri dei maggiori Finazzi e Ribaudi. Gli eserciti assedianti radunarono qui parte delle truppe per sorvegliare la fortezza . Oggi questa veduta rende ancor più piacevole la passeggiata al colle.
 The possibility of having a good view over the town of Civitella and above all on its fortress meant that the San Nicola hill was involved in all the sieges of Civitella that followed one another over the centuries, until the last of 1860-1861, when the Piedmontese deployed the XXI and XXVII battalion bersaglieri of the major Finazzi and Ribaudi. The besieging armies assembled part of the troops here to guard the fortress. Today this view makes the walk to the hill even more pleasant.
