★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been today just after 12:30 and we've been lucky to get table for 4 persons. Food delicious typicall of Itally with full of Italian people. Lovely athmosphere and lovely food. Even if our apartment for holidays is 90km from Monopoli we are going to return just because of food! Tremendous feeling.

Servis is profesionál and very friendly. Give you little bit more what you ordered.
On the end you Will be nicely suprise when you get the bill.. I was for sure. The Price Is the same as others, but quality Is one of the best restaurant in Monopoli ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow..just wow. Our dinner here was still our favorite meal in Puglia. Every piece of the meal - seafood freshness, variety, pasta quality/cooking, sauces/ingredients - everything was overall well rounded and delicious. Also appreciate that the food came out wicked fast compared to other restaurants so we didn't need to spend 3 hours at dinner.
Recommend making a reservation ahead of time unless you're planning to go right when they open - they fill up fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is absolutely fantastic. Monopoli is a great city, with fantastic restaurants. Locanda dei Mercanti is a quaint restaurant on one of Monopoli’s historic centre’s busier streets.
1. The antipasti (min. 2 people) is a must (this isn’t in my photo, I had the crudo for one this time around, with octopus)
2. The octopus is excellent
3. Be sure to ask what the fish of the day and what the pasta of the day is - you won’t regret it. I took the Orechiette (typical pasta from Puglia) with cauliflower, shrimp, a langoustine and just a few tomatoes. It was probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a while.
Reserve the morning of (either by stopping in, by calling, etc.
The prices are very fair - this being probably one of the lower priced restaurants with high quality food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably the best food I had in 3 weeks Italy. It tastes homemade and fresh and prepared with a lot of love. Also very local. The fish has the best quality, also the raw options are great!
We liked it so much, we even went there twice.
Reservation is necessary ;)
