★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Torre Aragonese di Melissa non solo da il nome alla frazione di marina di Melissa, ma è anche il punto riferimento non solo storico. Ben visibile da tutto l'abitato e dalla strada statale, ospita la sede del GAL Kroton-Gruppo d'Azione Locale.
La torre venne costruita durante il periodo aragonese del Regno di Napoli, quando vennero costruite anche altri castelli e torri in luoghi, a difesa degli abitati. In seguito fece parte del sistema delle torri costiere contro i corsari turcheschi. Con il venir meno del pericolo sarà utilizzata come luogo di soggiorno e magazzino dapprima dei feudatori Campitelli e poi dei Pignatelli.
Essa detta anche torre di Perticaro (per la vicinanza all'omonimo torrente) o torre Pignatelli.
