★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful ruined tower by the sea. This is a relatively quiet beach so facilities are simple but much more peaceful than other beaches nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was great to get out of Rome and go to the beach to visit this monument. A very peaceful moment. Be ready to walk a lot from Ladispoli train station if you are not driving.

........The Marsh of Torre Flavia is a very important wetland for the safeguard of the migratory avifauna and for the conservation of one of the rare traces of what was once the coastal environment of Lazio, with sandy dunes and a wide system of lakes, coastal ponds, and swamps, large plain forests and a faunistic richness which is nowadays witnessed only by iconography and historical documentation.
