Abbastanza "semplice" come visita ma molto interessante perché spiega la storia della torre e dell'orologio astronomico, oltre a mostrare il meccanismo dell'orologio nella sua versione attuale. Percorrendo la mostra si sale fino all'ultimo piano della torre da dove è possibile godere della vista dall'alto sulle zone circostanti. Il biglietto di ingresso costa 3-4 euro (a memoria), ma armatevi di pazienza perché causa covid gli accessi sono limitati e quindi potrebbe essere necessario attendere che qualcuno esca per poter salire (noi abbiamo aspettato 40 minuti, tenete anche in considerazione l'orario di chiusura perché fanno uscire tutti subito). Finally the clock tower has been reopened after years of closure for renovation. Quite "simple" as a visit but very interesting because it explains the history of the tower and the astronomical clock, as well as showing the clock mechanism in its current version. Walking through the exhibition you go up to the top floor of the tower from where you can enjoy the view from above on the surrounding areas. The entrance ticket costs 3-4 euros (by heart), but arm yourself with patience because due to covid the accesses are limited and therefore it may be necessary to wait for someone to go out to get on (we waited 40 minutes, also take into consideration the closing time because they let everyone out immediately).

Unica pecca (per quanto difficilmente risolvibile): le insormontabili barriere architettoniche. Beautiful inside the museum, which houses the clock mechanisms, documented with videos and captions. Incredibile l orologio di grande ingegneria che ancora una volta viene confermata quanto nei secoli gli italiani erano grandi scienziati ma soprattutto persone, unici al mondo. Si trova nella famosa piazza delle erbe. Nei pressi anche la basilica. Tante le attività commerciali e negozi di vario genere. Da visitare. Modificato nel '700, è tornato ad essere quasi come l'originale pochi decenni fa, grazie ad un lavoro di recupero. La visita ci ha permesso di conoscere qualcosa che non è comune da vedere ma che vale assolutamente la pena di approfondire! Located next to the Rotonda di San Lorenzo and overlooking Piazza delle Erbe, the tower contains all the gears that have made the clock work since the 15th century. Modified in the 1700s, it has returned to being almost like the original a few decades ago, thanks to a restoration work. The visit allowed us to know something that is not common to see but which is absolutely worth exploring!
