Si tratta di un piccolo barettino, provvisto però di una saletta al primo piano con uno splendido balconcino che si affaccia direttamente su Piazza erbe, dove è possibile gustare un buon aperitivo, oltretutto non costoso.
Cordialissimi e sempre gentili i gestori.

It has now become our favorite bar.
It is a small barettino, but provided with a small room on the first floor with a splendid balcony that looks directly onto Piazza Erbe, where it is possible to enjoy a good aperitif, which is also not expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bar Matilde is a wonderful spot for having an afternoon drink. Right on the piazza, it's great for people-watching. Gracious host, who specialises in proseccos, is friendly and welcoming - remembers returning tourist and is not shy to clean up your broken glass or spilled chips.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bar Matilde is a tiny coffeshop which has the best balcony of the whole Piazza delle Erbe. It looks over the entire square and offers exceptional views of Sant’Andrea. When you see it’s free, try to go up to discover how nice it is. Their coffee is very nice too, as well as their brioches or other snacks. The staff is always very kind to us, which makes us come here often.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited here twice in the same day! In the morning we had cappuccinos and pastries (delicious!!) and then came back in the evening for aperitivo. The staff were super lovely and friendly and the coffees, drinks and food were great too. The outdoor seating has a couple of heaters and the location right on the square is amazing! A great spot for people watching in Mantova!
