A place with a medieval flavor, you can breathe the typical placid and sly air of Tuscany.

Nice place. If you come by anyway, you can spend half an hour here or eat and drink something. In the area, however, there are much more attractive medieval towns.

Typical tower of the municipalities of the Republic of Siena, with the characteristic Ghibelline battlements and made of bricks. One of the best-known buildings in Buonconvento, a small village with an Orange Flag, located at the confluence of the Ombrone and the Arbia stream, a few kilometers from Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza. On the town hall you can see the commemorative plaque of the death of Emperor Henry VII of Luxembourg, who died on August 24, 1313, probably of anthrax, putting an end to his campaign of reconquest of the municipalities of central Italy that had self-determined.

Really neat medieval village, catering to tourists with shops and restaurants. Drawback is the wandering souvenir sellers, they seem to outnumber the tourists. There are a ton of medieval villages in Italy. Most on hills so if you need an easier walk, go here.
