Casale sul Sile (Tv), Torre di Casale o Torre dei Carraresi.
Casale sul Sile sorge a sud-est di Treviso, sulla riva destra del fiume dal quale prende il nome. La torre circolare, simbolo di Casale, fu edificata nel 1380 anche se le prime notizie della sua costruzione risalgono al 1334 - 1336, periodo della dominazione scaligera. Faceva parte di un complesso fortificato cui apparteneva anche un¿altra torre a pianta quadrata. Oggi la torre rimane a testimonianza del sistema di fortificazione e dell¿antica importanza strategica di snodo viario del luogo.
Molto bella da vedere se si è di passaggio... non so perchè mi ricorda la Spada nella Roccia e Mago Merlino! :-)
The tower of Carrara dates from the fourteenth century. The park of the medieval tower is private and inaccessible to the public.
Casale sul Sile (TV), Torre di Casale or Torre dei Carraresi.
Casale sul Sile is located south-east of Treviso, on the right bank of the river from which it takes its name. The circular tower, symbol of Casale, was built in 1380 although the first news of its construction date back to 1334 - 1336, a period of Scaliger domination. It was part of a fortified complex to which another square-shaped tower also belonged. Today the tower remains a testimony of the fortification system and of the ancient strategic importance of a local road junction.
Very nice to see if you are passing through ... I don't know why it reminds me of the Sword in the Rock and Merlin Wizard! :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La torre è il simbolo per eccellenza della storia di Casale. È di appartenenza di un privato ma durante l'anno i proprietari danno la possibilità di accedervi con delle visite guidate. È davvero molto bella, un pezzo di storia che trovandosi lungo il Sile offre anche degli scorci davvero incantevoli.
The tower is the symbol par excellence of the history of Casale. It belongs to a private individual but during the year the owners give the possibility to access it with guided tours. It is indeed very beautiful, a piece of history that, along the Sile, also offers some truly enchanting views.
