★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Girovagando per l'ospedale, avendo tempo a disposizione e in attesa di una visita mi sono imbattuto in questa chiesa proprio al centro della struttura ospedaliera.
Progettata nel 1932 dall'architetto Giulio Ulisse Arata a compimento della riqualificazione della preesistente struttura sanitaria.
La facciata bianca, sobria, spoglia da qualsiasi decorazione si sviluppa su due livelli, una galleria e un tamburo vetrato per tutto il perimetro della chiesa.
Nella galleria tre imponenti arcate scandiscono la forma della facciata, con 4 nicchie rettangolari in cui sono inseriti
4 busti in marmo raffiguranti i santi protettori: San Galdino, Sant'Ambrogio, San Carlo e San Camillo, opere di Timo Bortolotti, Aurelio Bossi e Carlo Pizzi.
Entrando in chiesa si rimane stupiti, fulcro della chiesa la cupola centrale con 12 vetrate che movimentato la struttura.
Tra queste il Beato Gerardo di Guido Marussig, il S. Antonio Abate di Anselmo Bucci e il Beato Giuseppe Cottolengo di Raffaele De Granda.
Al di sotto di queste, tre enormi vetrate, illuminano l'absise:
La cacciata dal paradiso terrestre di Aldo Carpi, l'Annunciazione di Mario Siro e la Natività di Alberto Salietti
Qui si potrebbe passare l'intera giornata ad ammirare estasiati questi capolavori, ma purtroppo il tempo vola e una visita mi attende.
Wandering around the hospital, having time available and waiting for a visit, I came across this church right in the center of the hospital.
Designed in 1932 by the architect Giulio Ulisse Arata to complete the redevelopment of the existing health facility.
The white facade, sober, stripped of any decoration, develops on two levels, a gallery and a glass drum for the entire perimeter of the church.
In the gallery three imposing arches mark the shape of the facade, with 4 rectangular niches in which they are inserted
4 marble busts depicting the patron saints: San Galdino, Sant'Ambrogio, San Carlo and San Camillo, works by Timo Bortolotti, Aurelio Bossi and Carlo Pizzi.
Entering the church you will be amazed, the central dome of the church with 12 windows that enlivened the structure.
These include Guido Marussig's Beato Gerardo, Anselmo Bucci's S. Antonio Abate and Raffaele De Granda's Beato Giuseppe Cottolengo.
Below these, three huge windows illuminate the abs:

Here you could spend the whole day admiring these masterpieces in ecstasy, but unfortunately time flies and a visit awaits me.
