Here is my list to reason that statement:
1. We went to the 'emergency' hospital, paid an exorbitant fee for consultation and the man behind the til progressed to take our passports (incase we didn't pay), morally sound right?
And to make matters worse they handed us an information paper in 12 different languages EXCEPT for English!
The level of unprofessionalism was actually uncanny.
2. We had to park 200m from the hospital where there are immigrant car guards that make you feel unsafe and try to window shop your vehicle and sell you something useless.
All in all a pathetic experience, perhaps they should revise their Hippocratic oath.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in Italy for 5 days and have come before many times but first time in a hospital. Had to go in to visit a cousin who was admitted, as I was walking thru on first floor of nord wing a nurse came and told me I cannot walk thru the hallway (the main reception where people wait for appointment not the room hallway. Being a foreigner I was like oh ok but then my husband stood there and watched if she told anyone that and not a single other person. Over 20 people passed and she didn't open her mouth. So I confronted her and she had nothing to say. Very prejudice. Ruined my experience in Italy. I tried as much as I can explain to her that a hospital should be peaceful grounds people are sick and tired and worried about their loved ones, there is no energy for her prejudice and negativity especially from a hospital staff. There should be training for inclusion and better customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent, efficient staff in A&E - the kindest people I've met during my stay in Italy, even with a language barrier on my side.
Hopefully I will never have to visit again but it's reassuring to know that it is here in case of need.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst experience ever. Screaming doctor, she did not help and what is important - she wrote in the medical documentation pressure values and heart conditions without any medical examination! It is an offense! Incopetent and not helpful. Big shame
