★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let the funicular take you from the città alta further up to the Castello di San Vigilio and don't be scared by long queues at the station. They move quickly. Visit the castello in the evening to watch a stunning sunset over Bergamo, the adjacent hills with picturesque cultivation, and Alpine mountains glowing in the distance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can get there by a funicular. There is not a lot of tourists (or I just had a luck). There is a garden, so you can relax for a while and take a picture of an amazing view. The ruins of the castle looks quite good. There is also a tower, but it's currently closed (because of pandemic)
