★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'antico abitato di ferento di origine etrusca sorto sul Poggio di S.Francesco, nel 310 a.C le legioni romane con a capo il console Decio Mure distrussero la città sconfiggendo gli etruschi. La città risorge sulla collina opposta raggiunse il massimo splendore e importanza nei primi secoli dell'Impero. Qui nacquero l'imperatore Ottone e Flavia Domitilla ferento e piena di storia nel1172 venne distrutta dai Viterbese. Oggi si può ammirare il bellissimo antico teatro
The ancient town of Ferento of Etruscan origin built on the Poggio di S.Francesco, in 310 BC, the Roman legions headed by the consul Decio Mure destroyed the city by defeating the Etruscans. The city rises on the opposite hill reached its maximum splendor and importance in the first centuries of the Empire. Here Emperor Otto and Flavia Domitilla were born, wounded and full of history in 1172, it was destroyed by the Viterbo inhabitants. Today you can admire the beautiful ancient theater
