Temple Travel Sorrento

We used Temple Travel to do the bus tour of Positano and the Amalfi Coast. You have to make your way down to their offices (just next to Sorrento Train Station) and you are collected from there. We were then driven from Sorrento to Positano with a stop to take pictures (the tour guide was interesting and the English was superb). We were given an hour and a half to explore Positano on our own. From there we were taken along the Amalfi Coast to Amalfi and given two and a half hours in Amalfi to explore (there was also an option for a boat tour of the coastline for 12 Euros which we took up, it was worth the money). After the time was up were were driven back to Sorrento and dropped off. The only negative I can say we the air conditioning on our bus leaked water over all of the passengers, I would recommend getting that fixed or even better upgrading the bus. However that being said the tour was brilliant and I would recommend doing this as a great way to see the sights.

The service is good. Friendly and accommodating young staff. The tour guide (a local, proud of her homeland ), presents the local history and legends very vividly and competently. She is caring and the driver is highly professional. Unfortunately, the agency does not provide all the options, listed in the booklet. Anyway, it was a fine half-day trip altogether and money well worth it.

My friend and I were sold the Amalfi Coast Select trip at the travel agent's office located in Sorrento train station. Attracted by the good sales pitch along with the brochure and flyer description of the small group tour we booked for the next day. As one of us is a keen photographer the advertised bonus of seeing "Additional sights and locations" with "Fantastic photo opportunity" was the deal breaker. We were collected on 9 October 2019 at 8am and after collecting our fellow passengers started the tour. Within 20 minutes after leaving Sorrento we asked our Driver/Guide Giuseppe to pull over on a lay by as there was a beautiful view point of the cliffs. He refused and sternly told us it is too dangerous to stop there along with a very rude untrue explanation. My friend expressed his dissatisfaction with the Giuseppe's retort and was told only the driver decides where to stop. We realised this was not going to be the tour we were sold and decided to keep quite and try our best to enjoy the scenery on the driver's terms. However for the next 4 hours the driver was constantly on his mobile phone whilst driving and complaining in Italian about us which created an awful atmosphere in the car for the entire day. We stayed on the tour despite the driver's constant abuse and unprofessional manner. At the end of the tour the driver without telling his passengers decided to make the return journey via the inland road and not along the advertised coastal route, saying there was too much traffic. I checked google maps and other than some minor congestion by the towns the traffic was free flowing. When I challenged the driver saying this was a 'once in a lifetime experience' for most of us he totally ignored me. On our return we complained about the tour description and driver and were told an investigation would be made with a follow up within 48 hours. Needless to say we didn't hear back, so several days later when back in UK we called the agents. They agreed to compensate us for the bad experience and we received a 50 Euro refund from the 150 Euro tour. If you book with this company be prepared you may NOT receive what is advertised and one final tip, don't take a lunch included option..food was so bland and 'canteen style'. Our most disappointing day on our 10 day Italy trip.

We booked Amalfi boat tour by Tempio Travel via another online platform. We had the tour today and it was amazing. The view of Amalfi coast is so beautiful and the best way to see it is from the water. Weather is very hot so it was great we had chances to swim in the sea besides visiting Positano and Amalfi. We want to highlight that we had Andrea and Stella as our boat driver and the guide. They take care of all our need and we feel like in good hand. We were very happy with the tour with them! ?

We originally planned to visit these two sites on our own but decided to go on a planned tour as you learn so much more than wandering around on your own with a map. And I've got to say Hugo ( his little joke was .. where Hugo you go ) was a absolutely spot on , his knowledge of Pompeii was amazing and his descriptions brought the place to life. He leads the group talking into a mic which is picked up on your headset so you don't need to be close to hear what is being said. I will review the 2 sites separately but suffice to say that the staff on the booking office were nice ( we booked next to the train station although they may have other offices in town) we met in the piazza tasso and off we went for a very memorable day so thank you very much Hugo ???? No hesitation in recommending Tempio Travel

DON’T BUY any tickets from this guys. They charge extra money(without asking) for ‘skip the line ticket’ even if there are no line up at all. It says 16euro on the ticket i bought and charged 18euro? doesn’t make sense. There are NO OFFICIAL skip the line ticket for pompeii. Now i know this is how you make money.

We were planning on taking the city bus, but we wandered in here and ended up taking their Amalfi coast tour and it was wonderful! Our driver was Maria. The city bus only stops on the main road, high above the actual coast area, if you have any problems walking up and down hills then I highly suggest this tour instead as it will greatly limit the hills. Also, sometimes when you’re ready to leave Positano or Amalfi, the city buses are full! Maria dropped us off at very convenient locations, gave great tips and drove very safely! It was perfect amount of time at each stop!

If honestly and integrity are important then don’t use this company. We went here with our 5 month old baby to ask if they could accommodate her on a boat tour. We were ensured they could, told a car seat would be provided for the travel to the boat, and an infant life jacket would be on board the boat. They also claim to cater to dietary needs so we noted that we are vegan and they said we would have a vegan meal waiting for us. Needless to say when the van arrived to pick us up there was no car seat. When we asked why they said it was a short and slow drive. We reluctantly got in the van and it was an 18 minute drive on fast and windy roads. When we got to the boat dock I confirmed again that a life jacket for our baby would be onboard and was told not to worry, they personally assured it would be. We then boarded the boat and it took off with no safety protocols mentioned. I asked for the life jacket and the boat steward shrugs and then hands us an adult life jacket that was larger than our baby. We were then stuck out to sea with no way back. Not surprising after the experience we had thus far, but when the meals were provided there was no vegan meal for us. When we got back and told the manager all this we were assured a partial refund that would take a day to process. A day later and nothing so we went back and were then told they decided it was our fault for not bringing a life jacket and said they were not refunding any of our money. They also state there was a vegan meal if we had asked, which is a complete lie as we did. If you have children and want to secure their safety then avoid this provider, and if you prefer honesty then I would also choose one of the many other providers throughout Sorrento. It is clear that taking your money is their only concern.
