★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Collocato in P.zza Sant'Ambrogio tra la Basilica e l'Università Cattolica di Milano, nel luogo dove una volta sorgeva il cimitero dei martiri.
Realizzato tra il 1927 e il 1930 è dedicato ai caduti della Prima Guerra Mondiale, a costruirlo, sulla base del progetto di Giovanni Muzio, furono diversi architetti, fra i quali Giò Ponti e Tomaso Buzzi.
Venne inaugurato il 4 novembre 1928 in occasione del primo decennale della Vittoria contro gli Austriaci.
Da vedere.
 Located in Piazza Sant'Ambrogio between the Basilica and the Catholic University of Milan, in the place where the martyrs cemetery once stood.
Built between 1927 and 1930, it is dedicated to the fallen of the First World War. It was built on the basis of a design by Giovanni Muzio by several architects, including Giò Ponti and Tomaso Buzzi.
It was inaugurated on November 4, 1928 on the occasion of the first tenth anniversary of the Victory against the Austrians.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visita sorprendente, il sacrario progettato tra gli altri anche dal celebre arch. Muzio custodisce le spoglie dei soldati italiani caduti nella grande guerra e si sviluppa nel sottosuolo per due livelli molto estesi. Sugli otto lati del mausoleo vengono raccontate per anno in altorilievo le tappe maggiormente evocative dei quattro anni di guerra. Domenica scorsa abbiamo avuto la fortuna di potere visitare il monumento tramite una giovane guida volontaria che si è offerto di accompagnarci, Pietro Iacopo Benzi, preparatissimo e molto appassionato, ben oltre il singolo monumento, ottimo divulgatore ci ha spiegato il Sacrario come mai avremmo potuto comprendere da noi. La visita è consigliata a chiunque, suggeriamo di effettuarla tramite la guida, l'esperienza vissuta con la nostra guida è stata straordinaria. Complimenti per l'ottimo grado di conservazione del monumento e l'eccellente preparazione della guida che ha reso vivo e vitale il monumento. Andate a vederlo!
Surprising visit, the shrine designed by the famous arch. Muzio keeps the remains of the Italian soldiers who fell in the great war and develops underground for two very large levels. On the eight sides of the mausoleum the most evocative stages of the four years of war are told each year in high relief. Last Sunday we were lucky enough to be able to visit the monument through a young volunteer guide who offered to accompany us, Pietro Iacopo Benzi, very well prepared and very passionate, well beyond the single monument, excellent communicator, he explained the Shrine to us as we could never understand from us. The visit is recommended to anyone, we suggest to do it through the guide, the experience with our guide was extraordinary. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sacrario militare di Milano. Sono sepolti circa 5000 soldati milanesi deceduti durante le guerre o missioni. Da qualche anno, riaperto anche grazie all'ANA, associazione nazionale alpini.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Entrare in questo Sacrario, avvicinarsi a migliaia di persone non più tra noi materialmente ma presenti grazie alla libertà,e alla democrazia,in cui viviamo è molto toccante.
Grazie agli Alpini che lo custodiscono.
Entering this Shrine, approaching thousands of people no longer among us materially but present thanks to the freedom and democracy in which we live is very touching.
