I loved the wave of the place when the plaza filled with hundreds of young guys chatting and having a drink in Paz.

The Monument to the Fallen of Mentana is a sculptural work created by Luigi Belli and placed in Piazza Mentana in Milan to commemorate the Italian fallen in the battle of Mentana in 1867, in which French forces participated in defense of the papacy and against the Garibaldini. Giuseppe Garibaldi also took part in the inauguration which took place on November 3, 1880, on the occasion of the anniversary. It is a beautiful monument, well preserved and important for the history it represents.

Commemorates the Italian patriots who fell at the Battle of Mentana in 1868. N.B. @ June 2018: Might not be easily accessible at the moment due to public works being carried out at Piazza Mentana. There seems to be quite a bit of excavating and earth moving involved.
