★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Temple of Diana isn't that spectacular. There is no interpretation, there have been various attempts at reconstruction using modern brickwork, and soil is building up within the rooms as there is nothing to stop anyone from wandering around and over the building.
The rock is very much worth the relatively easy climb for the great views over the town and up and down the coast, but not simply to visit this temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If history is your thing then this is a must. The climb in places can be hard but easily overcome with good footwear and patience. Cheap entrance fee at just 4 euros. Take water.
The sites themselves are breathtaking, the Megalithic Temple was built using fossil covered stones and the castle ruins are something else. Keep an eye out for the lizards and hawks especially. A highlight of Cefalu and as a history buff, a place I will never forget.

Even if you find it hard to walk for long and won't be able to make it to the top this is worth the 4 Euro entry fee and nice to know someone is keeping an eye to make sure you leave when they close the park.
It's better to have the money ready in change as it's easier to use with the machines.
It takes about 20 minutes to get here and around 40 minutes to climb to the top.
Try and make it to the top as the views from there are breath taking and you'll be able to see the what's on the other side of the mountain (plus the sense of achievement)
