Go early at 15h00, sometimes they offer rehearsal for 1 euro per person before the real presentation. Super worth it!

Very disorganized. We have tried for 3 days to get a tour of this theater. 1st day we were told there were no more tours in English, 2nd day they said they’d call me if they could do a tour in the afternoon, went back in the afternoon to double check the tour schedule for the 3rd day and we signed up for a 10:30am tour. We decided to change our trip around because we were going to leave for Bologna in the morning, but changed because we really wanted to see this theater (studied classical music in college). We show up on the 3rd day to be told there are no tours in English this morning, but if we wait until the afternoon they might have one. ? Yeah we’ve heard that before. I told the woman that we signed up for the 10:30am tour when we stopped in yesterday. Our names were put in a book and my phone number was taken. She said they were rehearsing. So yesterday afternoon you didn’t know there was going to be a rehearsal the next morning? We signed up, so if you didn’t know this information before you took my phone number. Isn’t that why you took my phone number so if there was a change you could let me know and not have us change our itinerary and walk in the pouring rain to be told there is no tour? I’m sure the theater is gorgeous, but they need to figure this out. There was a couple in front of us looking for a tour in English as well. I totally understand if they don’t offer tours in English. I completely get it. This is Italy. We know some Italian (been working on it for a year), but not enough to take a tour. If you don’t offer tours in English just say so. This way we don’t keep hoping & keep being disappointed. And don’t rearrange our schedule for a tour that’s never going to happen.

We were visitors to the theatre making the tour that is happening every 30 min. We were disappointed. The tour is done in nearly 15 min. and you only see one box inside the theatre receiving some interesting information about its history. The tour is 5 € per person but given the short and very brief tour I cannot recommend the tour

Stunning venue - great value for money if you find yourself in town when an event is on.

A spectacular old opera house, so naturally it suffers some inefficiencies in handling crowds and slightly uncomfortable seating. Well worth putting up with - this house has a wonderful atmosphere and was a great place to see some Verdi.

Wonderful theatre. House for great compositors such as Giuseppe Verdi and Toscanini. A must for theater lovers and, like me, aesthetic lovers.

Very friendly staff, patiently explaining about the plays, the ticket options and the view from the Palcos. The Teather is gorgeous! Really worth a visit

Absolutely stunning!!! The tour was fantastic, 30 minutes of historical beauty. Cost was 7 Euro. Staff was great. 12 minute walk from the train station. I would suggest this to anyone.
